The strat draft is a website that will contain the team rosters after cuts.
Managers will be asked to review their rosters and draft picks and should
inform me and Robert of any corrections that need to be made.
All players not identified to a roster will go in to the draft pool as carded
players. The website will provide basic statistics for each player.
I will add a list of uncarded players. I add the top 10 players from each team
and make sure that I have added Baseball America's Top 100 prospects to the
pull. If there is a player you want who is not on the list - just email me and
I will add him. Teams are allowed to carry a maximum of 6 players - so in my
case i will probably care 3 No Card Rookies ("NCR") and then draft an
additional 3 NCR players.
Once on the website - Managers will be able to sort batters from pitchers
batters by position
pitchers as starters/relievers/ and closers
Each team will have a login ID and a password. (Managers will be able to
change their password - once they have logged on to the website.)
Managers indicate their pick when it is their turn or the manager can set up an
auto-draft where they can list up to 15 players in as many as 3 groups so that
the computer will make the managers choice.
i.e. a manger may need a starter, a SS, and a catcher and may be away from the
draft for some reason. He could list his top 5 choices at each position and
instruct the computer to make his pick based on his preferences and the player
availability. his instructions may be take 2 players from pool 1 and 1 player
from pool 2 and 3. The manager will be able to instruct the auto draft to
choose a minimum of one poor pool are a maximum of 5 per pool before it goes to
the next pool. If all your players are missing from pool1, it automatically
goes to your next preference.

To prepare for new players please export your current rosters using
Players -> Import/Export -> Export csv File. After the new players are in
place I'll supply a spreadsheet that should aid you in transitioning to the
2009 players. The actual time of the transition to 2009 will depend on when
I receive the players as well as the actual process of moving all
subscribers over. Hopefully it can be done within a couple days or so.
