I replaced Pennington as Tidewater's pick in round 3. I am telling you it was not an easy operation. It is obvious that selection was made by autodraft and took the 1st available player on that manager's list of choices. I too have seen autodraft take a player on my list that I wanted to change, but have not done so. I would suggest that you open autodraft - set select players to 0 - submit that choice and accept it, then input your player choices and adjust the number of choices to your desired number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and submit, accordingly. Recheck it to make sure you have the players you want in the choice selection spots you desire and make sure autodraft has your indications set correctly - submit again just to make sure. It will operate as you have instructed it.
