Brandt
We most certainly would have to have a timeline in place with this.
Upon complaint of a trade, the committee would be emailed to place their votes.
I can't believe we wouldn't be able to get this done in a week?

I also agree that a player's value is in the eyes of the beholder and the
perspective owner?
The langauge would have to speak to a trade being truly lopsided.  That's why 5
owners would vote.  You would hope that common sense among 5 people would give
a decent perspective.
Good points.

I would vote to keep the ability to block trades. However I would put a 10 day
max to put this to review. I really dont want to see this thing again about
bringing up old trades for review.  I agree and disagree with Robert on this
issue. Voting down trades is going to piss off people but  thier has to be some
sort of law so certain teams are not taken advantage of.  What everyone also
needs to remember is there will always be lopsided trades because what one
person values might be different than what another values.
Pertaining to my trade, I put a lot of value on Porcello. I viewed his ceiling
as very high. How many 20 year old pitchers make the mlb club? You make the
club because you are very good pitcher with good potential to win. I don't know
that I would have even made this trade a year ago because of all the miles put
on CC's arm. That really bothers me but I made the trade because I needed the
pitching sooner than later. What are the averages that 2 years down the road
that CC will have an injury and porcello will start believing in his talent? I
would say better than average because of CC's massive overusage the past few
years. Plus anyone that knows prospects knows how good Jennings is projected
to be.
