Game #3- Roy Halladay vs Jeff Niemann
The home Panthers got a big two out double by Tori Hunter plating 2 runs
for the Panthers making it 2-0. The Dragons got one back in the top of the
2nd on an Arod solo shot.
Things remained that way until the bottom of the 6th when Tori Hunter was
at it again hitting a 2-2 fastball to deep left field to send the home
crowd into a frenzy. Panthers now up 4-1. Hunter later added a 3 run homer
in
the bottom of the 8th inning. Hunter would go 3-4 with 7 RBI's. Niemann
would go 7 2/3 giving up 3 hits and only 1 run striking out 4 to get the
win. Hallady would go 7 innings giving up 4 runs and striking out 6. The
Panthers outhit the Dragons 8-3 winning the game 7-1. The Panthers now lead
the series 2-1.
Game #4- Felix Hernandez vs Dan Haren
The visiting Dragons wasted little time getting a big 3 run homer by Alex
Rodriguez to blow things open 3-0. The Panthers scratched one back on a
Ryan Howard single plating Dustin Pedroia. The Dragons get another 3 run
homer by second baseman Chase Utley to quiet the home crowd making it 6-1.
Haren was sent to the showers giving up 6 runs in two innings. The Dragons
continued to put the pressure on and calmed a bottom of the 9th Panther
rally to give the Dragons a 9-3 win outhitting the Panthers 12-8.
The series is tied 2 games to 2. The King went 7 innings giving up 2
runs, 5hits and striking out 6 to get the win.
More to come as Javier Vasquez takes the hill for the Dragons and Randy
Wolfe for the Panthers in game #5.
