If I ever running for public office I want you for my campaign manager!!! As for the trophy (was anything but small) we used to have one and we awarded every year at the draft. However winning managers starting getting bigger and bigger one (plus I got tired of just adding new yrs to mind, just kidding). Then we just stopped all together and finally lost all of them in my house fire. I also had problems with team winning (trading all his picks away and stripping the team) then leaving quitting suddenly and no trophy. Then there is the problem with cheating (I know it is only a trophy but...) it has caused some to do it. That being said I always like the idea of plack w all the champions for each yr. I will yield to the league and we can do that if that is what we want. We used to have the commish award the trophy (president Lou got to give me mine and he hated it as it was usually him I beat for the title). Remember that we do have 2 places that people can stay if the wish to join us on March 19th for the live draft. We also have moved it from the 3rd Sat of March if we have out of state guess as there is nothing greater than meeting/talking to the rest of the league. Randy was great at coming every yr from Mich. So guys let's hear from you. Of course since I am winning every yr it would only have to just change the yr!!! I of course will be willing to send you autograph picture of me w the trophy/plack (for a small fee). Just have the concerns listed above. That is great info. I wasnt worried about it. I know how much time some people put into this league. Just curious if there was money floating around that could be put back into the league. I would love for there to be a small trophy with a plate where we could keep adding the manager and team that wins the world series every year. Of course I don't want to spend extra money or ask for money from everyone especialy since the only only time anyone would probably see it is when some of youall get together on draft day. I do not know if he has used the dues to help cover the expenses of past web sites. I do know that I paid for Start Draft Web sites fees (this year $28.50/past years $25) the years I ran the draft ( 2011, 2010, and 2008). Lou ran the 2009 Draft and I believe Tim ran the 2007 draft. I do not know if dues went to offset Tim's or Lou's expenses. Prior to that it was a phone draft - very messy. I also paid the initial fees for the new NOMBL web site - the flory web site ($25). Next year that is a minimum fee and a charge per team - I think it works out to $4 per team. I can tell you whether Robert has used the dues for league expenses are other, it is okay with me. He puts in a lot of time: preparing schedules, making the rosters, updating trades and draft picks, downloading computer managers, sending out league restore files, and keeping the stats flowing. It is a thankless job. It is no wonder that sometimes he gets frustrated, because not only does he do all that the hard work to keep the league running smoothly, he also has to put up with each of our idiosyncrasies, recruiting managers for vacant teams, and ensuring the league runs fairly and smoothly. So I am not worried about dues or fees I pay, I am just glad to have the opportunity to play in this league for such a little cost. Where else can you get such fascinating entertainment for $10 a year. Jack Howard In a message dated 1/31/2011 5:45:15 P.M. I know in the past the money was put towards the draft web site but as mentioned earlier it sounds like we are using the new NOMBL web site to draft.
