Hi Richard,
Thank you for your fast reply. The problem is that I want to have a
track that only contains CC messages. Having to add notes seems a bit
stupid. Of course I can generate a track with stuff like csvmidi, but it
is strange that I cannot change te position in the event editor. My
workaround for now is midicsv the non-sequencer file. Change the
position and csvmidi back. But it is cumbersome.
I really like the "small tools that you glue together" way non-tools
work, but there are features lacking. E.g. why is there no OSC in
non-sequencer, there is someone who added LV2 plugins but it is not
merged into the main development (why?). Also there are small but
annoying 'features'. Open up a separate window for the tracks and mute a
track. In the main window the track status is not updated. It is the way
FLTK seems to work. There is too little separation between the view and
the model. This has nothing to do with speed. The listener model is well
known and updates all views fast enough and this can be added to FLTK.
Kind regards, Ruud

Hi all,
I'm wondering why the MIDI input of the track you are recording is not
forwarded to the output port of the track. When you are looping you want
to switch tracks and thus instruments. And it is not nice that you are
not hearing what you are playing.
Also when adding e.g. a CC in the event editor it always gets position
0. Changing the position of any event in the event list is lost when
saving. Am I doing something wrong?
Kind regards, Ruud
Hi Ruud, I have been doing some event editing adding CC4 pedal effects
and it took me a long time to figure out how to control where the
inserted event will appear. It seems that you can get close to the
position you want by first "selecting" a note at or near the right
position before entering the event editor. It makes it easier to scroll
through the list to find the selected event.
Now when I insert the control it usually appears between the note ON
and note OFF events and it is almost easy to cut and paste a new
timecode to position it exactly where I want. I haven't yet had the
experience of finding the CC all the way back at time zero, but I look
forward to it with dread :~)
It is a bit of a pain when adding a lot of carefully positioned CC4s
for a drum pedal, but it can be done with patience.
