We have our new website live--finally. It still is missing some things
--a technology resources section
--some design tweaks
--some more pdf, MS Word sign-up forms and on-line sign-up forms
--better/more pictures
--finish and turn on the donation section

But it's much better than what we had.

It's at http://www.mapfornonprofits.org
Click on "Nonprofit Services", then "Technology" for our new technology services
descriptions.

A few things about the website:
--It's using an asp website template.
--This is the same provider we partner with to provide the service
to other nonprofits. (The Greater Twin Cities United Way was
involved in developing the template. It's available to TCUW
agencies at a reduced cost--talk to Kathy O'Connor.)
--We modified the buttons, did a custom banner and custom colors.

The one major difficulty we had is typical of large website and database
problems--getting everyone to agree on a structure that makes sense! MAP has a large
number of services and getting it organized so that it makes sense to our customers
was difficult. Then we had to get the individual service directors to agree to the
organization. (e.g. We have three people who do different things that can be described
as board development and we use to have them in three separate sections.)

The other major problem was getting the staff time needed to get the content written.

Now I just need to dig up the funding to get our Free Management Library on a database
backend!
