CURE has been growing by leaps and bounds this year. We now have active chapters in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Aligarh. With such a dedicated team, growth is a certainity. I take this opportunity to congratulate everyone who has been working hard and giving their valuable time & energy.
The next item on the agenda is the CURE Newsletter for 2006. Varun had sent out a detailed email on the same sometime back. This email is to solicit articles, views, opinions, experiences, statistics, advice... anything that you wish to talk about related to ragging. Looking at http://www.noragging.com/cure/newsletter.html would give you an idea about the kind of articles that we carry in this annual publication.
Some interesting facts about the CURE Newsletter:
- CURE Newsletter is the only annual publication solely dedicated to ragging in India.
- Each CURE newsletter is a ready reckoner on the cases reported in previous year. "Ten suicides in 4 years", this startling statistic was first reported in the CURE Newsletter 2005. It has since been picked up by the media.
- HT City (July 22, 2005) picked up content from CURE Newsletter 2005 and credited it elsewhere.
- CURE has distributed its printed newsletters to almost 3000 people all over the country in the last two years.
