Dear Dr. neeraj,

I am extremely happy to find someone from an institution which changed my life completely. Atleast there are some people in MLN Medical college who dislike the practice of ragging. You are welcome to this organisation. You are very senior to me. Perhaps when you finished your medical studies I was only in my kindergardens. i hope you are no going to rag me :))

But the most unfortunate part of this institution is that though almost six years have passed since that incident occourred with me but nothing has yet changed in that institution. The ragging is taking place there as it was taking place before my ragging incident.

After I left the Medical college, this case surfaced on so many print and electronic media for 3-4 years but nothing could change the evil tradition of this medical college. Sometimes I feel so sad that from past 4 years I and my colleagues have been trying hard to  to curb ragging all across India but couldn't bring any change to the institution which made me realize to work on this issue. When I left the institution I thought that the students would feel ashame of what they have done and the college authourities would become more strict but I was wrong. Perhaps the people  there still adore this evil practice.

But you have really brought a new hope in me. It shows that there are people like you who really hate this cruel practice of ragging. I would be extremely happy if you could take up some activities and make some efforts so that no brutal ragging takes place in MLN Medical college ever again. I would feel that I am successful and that my sacrifice didn't go waste. I am sure you must be having lots of contacts in MLN Medical college and you can probabbly arrange some conference or seminar on this issue.

Thanking you once again.

Regards,

Harsh

Dear friends,

I'm a consultant surgeon at Allahabad and an alumnus of Moti lal Nehru
Medical College, Allahabad. (Joined in 1977,left in 1986 after
specilisation).

Just went through the very unfortunate story of Harsh Agarwal while
surfing the net few minutes back henec here .So shameful for my alma
mater and for our alumni of whom I am otherwise highly proud of for so
many other good things.

I always stood against ragging during all my years there as a junior
or senior and find it equally disturbing even today to go through such
narrations.

Feeling proud to join you all for a good cause.
