This post also seems like a spoiler to the link, which obviates the need to click on it.
Regards, William Taylor ==UNQUOTE== I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean. What is a "spoiler to a link"? Is the link spoiled/unusable in some way? Or possibly do you mean that I revealed too much in my note about the content of the novel? I thought I revealed no more than what a prospective reader would need to know before deciding whether to read the book. But in checking the blurb at http://www.amazon.com/High-Crusade-Poul-Anderson/dp/0743475283 , I find that this blurb does not reveal that the humans leave Earth. >From this blurb, the story might be about how the warring Englishmen and Frenchmen seek to get the space aliens to ally with them against their enemies, somewhat like, a few centuries later, the militarily weak but politically astute Iroquois and Algonquins suckered the transatlantic aliens into siding with them in their wars with other tribes. -- Mark Spahn (West Seneca*, NY) *the westernmost tribe of the Iroquois Confederacy; if you want the names of all six tribes, just ask any New York senator, like Hillary Clinton or Caroline Kennedy; I'm sure they're very well versed in their state's history. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Persons posting messages to not_honyaku assume all responsibility for their messages.
