Alan fantasized about something that never happened:

And John Garside understandably wondered:

And Alan responded:

> If you recall, John was treating us on this list to a pleasant travelogue of

Didn't happen, Alan. I spent 6 full weeks in China last summer, and I may have
sent a written of posts about it, but a travelogue? Get a grip, man.

I think you are also confusing "obvious North Korean propaganda" with that
article about the Korean War by Bruce Cumings that I cited.

And apparently worried (as I am) for Alan's sanity given his deranged posts,
John G. also queried:

> > Are we to assume this blind rant will continue throughout 2009?
>

And Alan raved on:

> I have no interest in continuing this rant, but unless John gives me some
> reason to think otherwise, I have no choice but to assume that he is
> allowing himself to be duped and act as a tool of the North Korean
> government.

The only tool of a foreign government here is you, Alan, though apparently
someone neglected to inform you that the hoary Zionist fairy tale you offered
up
a few days back has been revised.

As for what I think about North Korea... Well, before you joined Not Honyaku
there was some discussion about all that here. Briefly, I abhor its political
system. I find the cult of Kim Il Sung nauseating. I am very well aware (much
more aware than you are, since I actually have studied the matter seriously for
several decades) of the systemic crisis that North Korea has been facing since
the 1980s.

But those issues are entirely separate from the matter of the Korean War, and
what I have said about that war here is documented by the best current research
on the topic, just like what I said about the origins of the Palestinian exodus
from Palestine
is. And if you would bother to read that work, Alan, you might actually learn
something.

And once again, Alan you are mixing separate issues, with the same old
McCarthyite purpose. I think at this point the appropriate response is, "Have
you no shame?"
