Yes, that is interesting, but on the other hand Barkley's habits are one way to 
keep money circulating through a depressed economy. Hard to imagine the voters 
of Alabama overlooking this sort of thing, though. 

I cannot remember if I posted it here, but Barkley was interviewed a year or 
two back in "Playboy", and he made some startling admissions about his reckless 
gambling (including the fact that he had sustained six figure losses in a 
single night at least once!). Once again, that could be a plus in a state like 
Louisiana, but I would bet it counts against you in Alabama. 

I still like that line about the spear, and also the one about wishing he had 
been on a higher floor when he threw that guy out a window.
