Don't mention it. It is actually a big story here, CNN is giving it major
coverage.

I attended Catholic schools in my youth, and had some classmates from families
of this size (15 kids or so). Just never understood it. It always struck me
that it was like Reggie Jackson collecting Rolls Royces or that guy in ZZ Top
with the warehouse full of guitars (though in these latter cases there is
arguably some investment value, I suppose).

A few weeks ago, I watched "Love and Betrayal: The Mia Farrow Story" on cable.
Great low rent movie of the Lifetime Channel genre. I particularly enjoyed the
snappy dialog when Mia finds out that Woody is banging Sun Yi. For example,
Woody protests, "I never wanted you to find out!" And Mia ripostes, "So you
mean you're not as good a liar as you thought you were?!?" And then Woody
rationalizes, "I thought it might help Sun Yi with her low self esteem!" I
forget what Mia replied to that, but it was amusing. Anyway, at the end of the
film (made in the mid-1990s, shortly after the whole sordid story was in the
papers), we get the usual "Where are they now?" updates. Woody is back to
making films. Sun Yi is attending college, living in an apartment near Woody
and still involved with him. And Mia has cheered herself up by adopting her
12th child.

12 adopted children.

Wow.
