Thanks for this reference and summary, Minoru. I was thinking of mentioning Toyota in my last post about trade. Toyota is a world-class automaker. Like Honda's output, its cars sell themselves effortlessly around the world based on the company's reputation for quality and reliability. If it is having trouble like this (and it is; I have been reading reports about Toyota's problems in the press since October 2008, and the news just keeps getting worse and worse), it is Exhibit A in showing just how deep and prolonged this crisis is going to be.
