Another poster in this thread has indicated that the Google Group rules
prohibit Mark from cross-posting messages like this. Even if Irfan agrees to
the cross-posting, there are several members here who object to it, and their
objections have to be heeded.

I will leave it to Jerome Conway to verify that such cross-posting is in fact a
violation of the rules, but it sounds like this matter is very straightforward.

There is such a thing as slime by association, Alan. Irfan has now been
apprised that his posts have been cross-posted on this list. That opens up the
possibility that others who are not members of this list will find out about
this ongoing Islam-bashing as well, and access the Not Honyaku archives to see
what has been going on here. I am not personally concerned, but given the
nature of some of your comments here, Alan, perhaps you should be, particularly
given your fevered propensity for looking for reds under your bed and
terrorists lurking in the bushes outside your house.

I can only add that I have been politely asking Mark to knock this stuff off
for almost two years now. A significant number of people on this list are
simply sick of it at this point. Mark may have his right to free speech, and
even the right to behave like a boorish fool. I can see why you would defend
the latter right, Alan, but you are in a definite minority in laboring to turn
this into a free speech issue.

I do not want to be associated with this, and if invoking the rule against
cross-posting is the way to finally put an end to it, so be it.

I submit the matter to Jerry for a decision.
