Regex in notepad++ are not powerful. You can't use \n in find.
But you can do this without regex :
Select two lines, press ctrl H and you'll have two strange characters.
Those squares are the carriage return and the line feed I think.
Copy them and use it in the replace field too.
And don't forget to uncheck regex.

I suggest that Notepad++ should support Unicode on its interface! I cannot enter
Unicode phrases in Search/Replace dialog, for example ``So?n th?o''.
Type the phrase above in a blank document [UTF-8 without BOM], the phrase
becomes:
``So th?o''! This is a bug I found from 3.8 ver. . The ?n disappear!!!

Use WinMerge, it's a free and powerful program to compare text files.
Notepad++ has no special tool to do that.
However you can try that : in menu, dispay/duplicate in other view and place
it vertically.

I'm loving the look and feel of Notepad++, but really need a spellchecker.

Hi again,
I forgot something to answere:
>> I also closed the Explorer, via the [x], but could then find no way to reopen
>> it - nothing under View, and nothing on the icons - how is this re-enabled
?
This is a bug on my side. It will be removed on final release.
Jens

I have a lot of localized xml files that i need to view in notepad++. Most of
those I look at appear correctly, except for Korean. My other applications and
files do display in korean (dreamweaver, IE, etc.), but not notepad++. Can
anyone
tell me why, and/or what I should do to correct this problem? Thanks - Anna

I've tested this in V4.0RC2, and the second to last icon in explorer is
called "GoToFolder" in the hint, and what this does on testing, is jump explorer
to the active-tab's folder.
Which I think, is exactly what you were asking for ?

I don't think it's a good idea to assign a shortcut to this command.
