Same here. This is the only gotcha keeping me from switching from Crimson
Editor
completely, and even though this focus problem is a pain, I am dealing with
it because Notepad++ rocks.

Strange. When I Alt+tab back to N++ my focus is in the text area.
I really like this app. I am trying to completely make the transition from
Textpad, but I am having issues with customizing my shortcuts. I've looked
at the Shortcut Mapper, but I cannot create a keystroke to toggle wrapping.
I hate having to click to View > Wrap. I'd love to bind that action to a
keystroke
or strokes.
I also need to figure out how to add and associate extensions so I can apply
styles to the color coding (.cfml, .aspx, .ascx, .master to name a few).

Thanks for alerting me to that setting. Since around v3.9, it's been
frustrating
to use Ctrl+Tab/Ctrl+Shift+Tab, as it requires a two handed operation.
Ctrl+PgUp/Ctrl+PgDn is much easier to use and is permanently embedded in my
muscle memory.
For the record, the Shortcut Mapper still doesn't show the name of the
two operations, though they are easily discoverable by looking for Ctrl+Tab.

Hi,
I don't know if this is the right forum but when I startup N++ I get 2 errors;
There are no discs in the station. This is probable my intern card reader but
is it possible to disable that error?
It is very irritating; maybe can someone fix this?

when opening x.509 certificate file in the hexedit, the tab flashes many times,
it seems that the tab was redraw repleatly.
repeat this bug:
1. open any der encoded x.509 certificate(not base64 encoded)
2. you can find out that the tab flashes
3. switch to any other tab
4. switch back to the der file tab
it is strange this bug only occur when opening x.509 der certificate.
not all der file
not all bin file(don't occur even open exe file of several Ms bytes)
looking forward for this bug to be fixed,since I work on x.509 certificate
file often.thx a lot

This was brought up in the Open Discussion forum, and the problem is with the
explorer.dll plugin for v4.0.2. If you close Notepad++, delete or rename the
explorer.dll file in the plugins directory, then restart Notepad++, all alt-tab
problems go away and you will be happy.

You are right. Please download the latest - but a Beta version - Explorer Plugin
here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-plugins
This should remove the errors on startup.
