Hello! There are several posts regarding it! There is a new Explorer version
which fixes this issue. Look on:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/npp-plugins/
Bug reports do also on the new project side!

Just installed n++ today and I like it so far.
But, every time I open search (either with ctrl+f or from the menu) I get an
unhandled win32 exception.
Any suggestions?

I identified the problem :
That's because you have a mounted network disk which is out of connection AND
you have the explorer plugin opened - every time you get forcus explorer plugin
check the dead connection.
Remve Explorer.dll from you plugin folder will remedy your problem.

I'm bumping this thread up because I'd also really like to see a cleaner
interface,
without all the 3D borders.
It would make notepad++ more pleasant too look at. A simple and clean gui, but
a very powerfull program.
