Hello.
I am using N++ 4.0.2.
I noticed a small problem with a buttons label: using the English language,
the Cancel button in 'Explorer Options' dialog-box is labeled 'Abbrechen'. It
is not a major problem, but maybe you find time to solve it.
Anyway N++ is a great app. Keep up the good work,

You might try the website - http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm
- and look at Peter Shute's article in the pop-out FAQ menu for "Newline find
and replace FAQ" to get rid of the newlines.
I'd suggest one line at a time starting with your <div> block, or you will be
editing a file with one long line, a tedious endeavor.
Another (remote) possibility is the HTMLTidy plugin found under the TextFX menu,
although I don't know if one can use it to remove newlines. --Joel

I would really like this option also. That is my only complaint with Notepad++.
I have read many posts on the subject. I understand there are those
(programmers)
with reasons NOT to have this feature. Is it possible that this could be an
optional feature either under Settings or Style Configurator or with a plugin?
Not being a programmer, I don't have a more specific suggestion.

In the meantime, here's a possible workaround.
Select "Run > Run..." from the menu. In the edit box, type (or copy/paste)
the following text:
$(CURRENT_WORD)
Then click the "Save..." button (not the "Run!" button). Give this function
a name like "Open selection" and select a hot key combination like ctrl-alt-F5.
Click "OK" to save, then cancel the Run dialog. Now you have a menu item under
the Run menu that you can use to launch your selections with their assigned
applications.
To launch a particular URL in your text, select it and press your hotkey
combination
or use the menuitem. --Joel

As a developer, I prefer the editor as it is because I am primarily editing
the text, not launching it. But choice is good. This is taken from my post
in the Help forum:
In the meantime, here's a possible workaround.

My suggestion: the files I edit have collapse/expand marks on the left side.
Please add an option to allow printing to ignore collapsed sections and only
print uncontrolled and expanded text.

Try install the program/package: 'Scite' or 'Scintilla'. Notepad++ is based
in Scite. I use Scite, work in Debian Gnu/Linux and play fast.
But, I too, vote for a Linux port.
I think: Emacs is a old interface comparate with Scite or Notepad++.
