To access dllcache, from a command window execute:
cd c:\windows\system32
now if you execute dir, dllcache does not show up as a directory.
however if you execute:
cd dllcache
you will find yourself in c:\windows\system32\dllcache.
Apparently microsoft doesn't want users to disturb this directory so it doesn't
show up, but it is there.

I have developed a small plugin for automatically saving open files upon
Notepad++
losing focus or at timed intervals.
I post here a link in case somebody is interested to use it and test it:

I have created a small plugin that allows to execute the currently open file
based on its shell association. The plugin offers a couple of options to save
the current (or all the files) before execution.

I have posted it here in case somebody could be interested:

http://fstellari.googlepages.com/RunMe_dll_1v01.zip

this is a problem, as far as i know, there is no macro library... and that's
a shame... would be nice to create macros with external tools - like passing
in selection as input & changing it... python/perl would be nice... but for
now, a macro lib would be awsome

An alternative is to directly embed Mozilla's Gecko rendering engine into your
view. Details can be found here:

The function list plugin only directly supports some programming languages.
Normal text is unsupported; try changing your language to C++ as a test to see
if it says "No functions" or similar.

You might be able to use the User Rules dialog to add your own support. I
haven't
tried it, though.

I heard hints that more functionality is coming... --Joel

I believe they are stored in shortcuts.xml, either in %APPDATA%\Notepad++ or
in your Notepad++ installation directory.

I've successfully edited this file, although I close Notepad++ and use a
different
editor to avoid Notepad++ overwriting any changes when you close it.

Instructions:
.. Regular user: Don't do it.
.. Advanced user: Don't do it ... yet.

My first guess: It's probably finding the C support before the C++ support.

What's associated with "Notepad++ Document"? Your registry may be hosed.

One place to look: On Windows XP (change instructions as needed for your box
if not) open Windows Explorer (you can right-click the Windows Start button
and select "Explore") and click on the Tools menu. Select "Folder Options...".
On the dialog that appears, click on the "File Types" tab.

Scroll down through the list looking for a file extension that is normally
associated
with Notepad++, like .TXT or .CPP. It should say "Notepad++ Document". Select
it.

Look at the options. Click on the Advanced button to check and maybe set the
file association for "open" or "run".

For "open", I have "<installDir>\Notepad++\notepad++.exe" "%1" (where the
installDir
is normally "C:\Program Files") in the "Application used to perform action:"
field. Example:

"C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe" "%1"

Another place to look: On the Preferences dialog, File Association tab. Is
there a list of registered extensions there? Does it have the file extension
for files you expect to open? (E.g., .txt")

Note: Sometimes the fix is to do a System Restore "rollback" to undo the damage.
This usually means that the most recent Windows Update patches and/or
application
you installed will need to be re-applied or re-installed. I'm not recommending
this.
