You might try making a copy of config.xml when Notepad++ is working, and compare
the known-good copy with the current config.xml file when it goes bad. Maybe
the AppPosition attribute is getting messed up via isMaximized being set to
a wrong value, or the window position and/or size is set to invalid values.

How about assigning a shortcut key to 'jump to definition', and in the plugin's
options, provide an option 'double-click to jump to definition', which is
disabled
by default?
