A bit messed up here, but "ANSI as UTF-8" means taht the file is in UTF-8
without
BOM.
If you want your file with BOM, then select "Encode in UTF-8" in the "Format"
menu.

Thanks, but I've tried that, and guess what, it still opens the logout.vbs and
login.vbs files when I logoff, login and restart my PC.
Any other suggestions?

If I set Clickable link settings enable, then the links get folded with Alt+0
then
the clickability is gone, but the settings still indicate enabled.
And even if the links work, they needs two clicks for activation.
These are not serious bugs, but I thought without them, the N++ would be a
slightly
more perfect :)

is notepad++ for mac and if not that would be awesome to make it for mac. i
used it for my pc,but my laptop is a mac and i use the it the most. i have not

Font style configuration of "String" doesn't work properly. For example, I
changed
"Global Style" - "Default Style" - "Font Name" to "Courier New" and leave all
other font styles blank. Only the "String" style didn't change. Even if I
changed
"String" style to "Courier New" solely, it didn't work too...

Notepad ++ is the best notepad editor with fantastic functions.
but it is always have bad works at its speed.
It seriously affect the feeling of using.
In notepad++ 4.1.2
1.Functin List Plugin. it slowly, especially when editing file, it automatically
re-caculate function list.
2.Find in Files is very slowly, when it work , it seems it crashed.
3.Find. when I find a string in a file with 20,000 lines, it too slowly.....but
i test it in Programmer notepad, it is so faster than notepad++.
I love to use notepad++ , so , please improve speed of each function of
notepad++.

Notepad++ don't uses Boost. It use the build in search of Scintilla. Maybe this
is the reason the the big performance gap. Same to Function List. But my plan
is to change this in near future.
BTW: There will be an Alpha candidate at the next week with new features. But
I promise you, if the users want to have all this new features, there will be
an additional performance loss.

BTW:
I roughly glance at PN's code, it seems it use BoyerMoore algorithym in Find
& Find in files.
I have a plan to read the codes of Notepad++ and programmer's notepad. Hope,
one day, I can participate in development of Notepad++ or its plugins to improve
my favor editor.^_^
