Since a lot of people want Clickable URLs enabled and a lot of other people
want it disabled (that's why N++ now has an option for it in preferences), it
could be triggered when user keeps Ctrl pressed, i.e., left-clicking without
Ctrl pressed only places caret at click position, but mouse-moving over URL
with click pressed changes mouse cursor to HandPoint and left-clicking over
it works like current clickable feature. It can even be an option for user.
Enable option could still be there, so if it was completely disabled then
clicking
with or without Ctrl won't have any Clickable result (for those who really don't
want this feature enabled...)

Alex

The triple quote in Python does NOT create a block comment, but rather a
multiline
string, preserving the line breaks. Python language does not have a concept
of block comments - there are only line comments.

The article I read only mentions ubuntu 6.06 and 6.10...

Please, answer me soon.

javascript please. Komodo IDE handles Javascript function list very nicely,
even recognizing objects within functions. Only prob is that komodo is very
SLOW.

I know that (for example) MS Word can do this, but I don't believe it's possible
within Notepad++.

Would be a useful feature though. Would advise sending a message to the features
list.

Forgive me, this is possible

1. Use the Advanced Replace (CTRL + R)
2. In the top window, enter the character(s) you want to search for
3. In the bottom window, enter the replacement text, using CTRL+M for a newline
4. Click on Find to find the first one
5. Click on Replace Rest to replace everything else

(Note : at the bottom of the dialogue box, you'll see you can also use CTRL+I
for a tab)

Hello,

I saw the instructions on the website for entirely replacing Notepad with
N++, and was wondering if there was a reason that this hasn't just been added
as an option in the installer. I can do it if no one else wants to, but I
figured
I'd better ask before I got started. Thanks and sorry if this has already been
talked about.

      Cordially,
      John Tims

Yah, thought of switching to N++ also. Think it's much more powerful than
editplus.
The only problem it's it doesn't have FTP support; just <CTRL><SHIFT>S in
editplus.
If N++ can do that, I will definitely switch to N++, though after using for
editplus for more than 5 years now.. sorry to say it here, but the editor is
really good :)

I believe that control+m only works with the advanced find if the regex option
is turned off.
See http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/newlineFindReplace-HOWTO.php for
details.

Yes, normal HTML. Save it with a .htm or .html extension, then call your ISP
for uploading instructions. I don't think notepad++ has inbuilt ftp.

Try to follow the same procedure.
Make sure the version of wine corresponds or is higher then mentioned in the
document.
Most likely the wine version is the most important ...

I succeeded installing it this way for gentoo.
For gentoo:
emerge wine
then from command line: winelauncher npp.4.1.2.Installer.exe
For starting npp up, I've created an alias: 'wine <PATH>/notepad++.exe'

I don't have the shortcut at my desktop, but I don't need that.
