Hmm... Having a whatever-sign for each file would allow to see at a glance,
which of the dozens files have been modified. I mean, without the need to jump
to each one to check the floppy image.

It would be very nice, if the function list could show Java Script classes
methods
that are written with the module pattern.

Just a comment: LaTeX uses $ to bracket mathematical expressions that are
embeded
in text, but it also uses $$ to bracked equations that are shown on a separate
line. For example, both of the following are legitimate commands in LaTex:
$ math expression $
$$ math expression $$
The trick would be to ensure that $$ was seen as a single "open bracket" rather
than two "open-and-closed brackets".

Atomhrt is right, a plugin like the function list(for variables) would be GREAT
and would help find out which variables go where when you first look at a source
code. Like when you click on one to highlight all with the same name.
If you dont implement this plugin puppies with sad eyes will be looking up at
you... :-)

Hi, This is John Starkie, who posted the original code. I've now developed
a Delphi plug-in that uses Scintilla, based on what I posted earlier. The
earlier
plug-in worked, but could only do a ShowMessage.
Shall I email it to Don again?
The plug-in hides all unmarked text, so for example, if you're looking at a
big file you can find and mark the bits you're interested in (using NPP), then
hide the rest of the text.
It does work, with some reservations.
The first reservation is that you can't hide the first line of a file. This
appears to be a Scintilla issue, as I tried hard coding 'hide lines 0 to 2'
and it still didn't hide line 0.
The second reservation is that I would like to be able to view marked text and
then copy that only. When selecting and copying, the hidden text becomes
unhidden.
These both sound like Scintilla issues. I would imagine the first is a bug.
I could imagine there being a reasonable explanation for the second reservation.
I developed this plug-in because I couldn't find a way to hide marked text.
Have I just not looked in the right places?

There are a lot of feature requests on this forum, but I think the author would
be wise to concentrate of fixing bugs. There are some new things that I would
like to see (an on-off button for syntax highlighting) but I can live without
them, whereas bugs compromise the usfulness of the program. For example,
Notepad++
would make an excellent TeX editor, but the bugs in the higlighting constantly
force me to close and re-open the program. Hence my request for no new
features.
New features can wait until the current ones work better.

I've been using Notepad++ for a while now and the one thing that's always
frustrated
me is the bottom scrollbar. It seems that half the time it goes way beyond
the document's right-most boundaries. Then when I try dragging the bottom
scroll
bar box, it's so small and I can barely slide it over without it jumping forward
a mile.
Is there a way to fix this so that the bottom scroll bar works properly and
only goes to the end of the longest code line? It would sure be appreciated.
