Hi,

Has NP++ the ability to change the behaviour of the TAB key, depending on the
language selected?

For example, when pressing the TAB key in a .c or .cpp file, it inserts 4
spaces,
but when pressing the TAB key in a makefile, it inserts a real tab.

Is that possible with NP++?

Best rgds,

--Geert

Hi,

When using the Explorer plug-in (even with latest version), it is very slow
on network drives.

When editing a file and then move the cursor in the Explorer view, the famous
sandbox is shown for a very long time (15-20 seconds). This is almost
not workable.

Has anyone else a similar experience?

Using the lightweight explorer plug-in has no delay at all (I know this one
is doing less "under the hood", but it's at least very reactive...).

Best rgds,

Hi,

I've used (and still use) CodeWright as my main editor for 10+ years. This
is a great editor (unfortunately not supported by those Borland guys) and had
several very useful features.

One of them was giving you the possibility to save the file when CodeWright
was out of focus.

Can something similar be added to NP++ too (optional)?

Best rgds,

Those improvements of the plugin would be very useful, can anybody do this and
help us web workers out here? :-)

I know this is an easy question but I'm new to NotePad++. How do you integrate
this into the app?

Yes, if you open the file in the HEX-Editor(Plugin for Notepad++) and insert
the correct starting mark at the start of the file, save it and reopen it.
Then you can choose UCS-2 Littleendian Encoding and the file will be displayed
correctly.

best regards
David

You can have one line (or background colour change). Settings/Preferences/Edit
Components. Enable "show vertical edge" and set which column to display it in.

I have the opposite problem. It opened up full screen, and now I can't get
it to go back to the regular size. It's stuck on my screen. I have tried all
the F/keys, and some of the other. Can you please help me.
