You know, I do understand that N++ is free and open source, and being a coder
(of a different language), I understand the time it takes as well. Appreciate
the devs? You bet! They have done an excellent job! Does that mean I will
discontinue to make feature requests for features that I think will be a strong
addition to notepad++? Nope, gonna still keep beggin'! ;) . I begged for close
buttons on the tabs, and am glad that I did. It makes all the difference in
the world.
In the end, they don't have to implement any feature requests. It is their
prerogative. But it sure would make already great editor even greater!
Martijn - Thank you for your efforts so far! Keep us posted as thing progress,
(or don't)

I explored Notepad Plus and now feel requirement for these things:
1) integrated file tree browser (simple alternative to Project manager)
2) Styler themes. Each theme could have its own XML with all settings for each
language.
2.1) Default styler themes with most popular editors/IDEs coloring settings.
e.g. theme "Dreamweaver PHP"
3) if file content is changed then somehow mark it on the tab, e.g. append
asterisk
char in file name

changed.
new 3) Should be an option to change tab background/foreground color.

I've the last 4.1.2 version installed (Windows XP Pro SP2).
NP++ crash whe I open this dat file (I've not tried with other dat file):

I've seen the thread for crash with big files, but this is only 280KB.
What's the problem?

It would make it really easy to find and manage shortcut keys if the Name and
Shortcut column headings were buttons that sorted the shortcuts.
In other words, make the Shortcut Mapper window sort in the same way as Windows
Explorer in detailed view.

I love the program, and if it wouldn't be too much trouble, it would be nice
if the CTRL + left or right Arrows would stop on other characters like dashes,
underscores in a string. Thanks for all the hard work.

Can't seem to delete a macro. nIn "settings" "shortcut mapper" I can't delete
the entry in the macro menu but cannot correct or overwrite the same shortcut
with the correct text?

Notepad++ supports a VAST amount of languages and I am absolutely in love with
it!
One thing though that should definitely be included with future versions is
support for MS Visual FoxPro . . . it's too common of a language not to
include!!
