Does Notepad++ support sftp/ftp connections? If so, how do I do it? Thanks!

Will there ever be a version for a standard or a U3 thumb drive? There are a
few out there, but I am most comfortable with NPP.

OK, I've completed it (more or less). My plugin features powerful
autocompletion,
using ctags. I can send you the current version (0.95), if you would like a
preview of it.
At the moment, the plugin is still somewhat crippled by inability to clone an
already opened file to other view. Go-to-identifier and identifier-lookup
functions
don't work in some cases, depending on which files are opened in which view.
The user has to manage the opened files by hand to keep things running, and
I would really appreciate if something like
NPPM_CLONEFILE(?, ?, viewID, tabIndex)
would be added. It specifies viewID (MAIN_VIEW or SUB_VIEW) and tab index of
the file to be cloned. It would function exactly the same as when user right
clicks on a tab and chooses "clone to another view". Would that be a lot of
work to add?
By the way, every documentation I have stated that WM_ACTIVATE_DOC
(NPPM_ACTIVATEDOC,
if I could find the new header file) has two parameters: index and viewID. In
fact, the parameters are swapped. That had me debugging for a while ;)
Thanks.

Don,
The improved handling of session files is so important for me, that I would
offer my contribution for this. I've never worked on SF projects before, so
you would need to explain the rules :-)
Also note my feature request for "per directory session files", which already
works on my machine.
I have experience with team development, source control (Perforce, VSS and some
other) and Visual Studio (using VS2005 currently). So much for my resume ;-)

I'd like to be able to have the file locked and read-only on disk so nobody
else can edit while I am.

Hi,
Just thought I might say a quick thank-you for putting Notepad++ together. I
have used a few editor-only programmes and Notepad++ is the best I could find.
Only (the commercial) source insight has some more useful features, but Source
Insight blurs the line between editor and IDE.
Thanks again!

I changed the bg color in "Global Styles" to gray, then I expected the bg color
for my cpp source files would be gray, too. But it isn't, because all bg color
for cpp styles are set to be white. It's a pain to set them to gray one by one.
And, even if I do set them to gray, what if one day I want to change the default
bg color to "red" (I know that's crazy :) ). All I want is not just to change
the color, but to make them "undefined", thus they can be the default bg color
automatically.
Then I opened the styler.xml file and deleted all "bgcolor" attribute setting
for cpp.
So what I suggest is: add "Unset" (or some other name) button, or some other
way to achieve that when we want to make that style "undefined", if we really
prefer the "Global Styles", the default setting. It's not necessary to add an
"Unset" button for each setting (fg color, bg color, bold, etc.). It would be
good for an "Unset" button unsets the whole group (C++: PREPROCESSOR, C++:
COMMENT,
etc.)
