If your referring to the UserDefineLang.xml, a) there's no such file, b) I don't
want to create a whole new style.
Just change the highlight for two words...shouldn't be that difficutt?!

You can change the color of highlighting under "settings" --> "style
configurator"
Then under "global styles" you should see "selected text color" -- select that,
and you can change the background color used for text selection, to anything
you like.

Hi,
I'm so happy with the latet notepad++! And thank you, Don, for adding the .tex
support in the Open File dialog.
One more wonderful feature to have would be a way to set the main file. That
we, even if I have other files open, if I run something from the Run menu
(particularly if I run external tools) or the NppExec console, it will always
operate on the main file, until I change it to something else or deselect it.
This feature would be even more effective if it has its own buttons for select
and deselect.
(This is actually something standard in WinEdt that I sorely miss.)

I meant to say they contain simplified Chinese characters. Either way, the
problem
exists for most (if not all) unicode characters.
Also, the vanilla notepad that ships with Windows opens these files just fine.
So the files aren't corrupt or anything.

I guess this should really be tied into:
The Language menu and
Settings > Preferences > New Document > Default Language
So what ever your current language you have selected then it should set that
to the file type on the Save and Save As... dialogs.
Good concept. :)

gPHPedit has something like this (http://www.gphpedit.org/features.phtml):
Dropdown Function Lists
Start typing the first few characters of a PHP function name and gPHPEdit will
drop down a list of all the PHP functions that match. It recognises all PHP
functions up to and including PHP 4.3.0.
> Function Parameter Popups
After typing the name of a PHP function and hitting the open parenthisis "("
button, a list of the required/desired parameters will appear to help you
remember
the order of them.
> Class/Function Browser
If your file is in the same location as other PHP files, gPHPEdit will
automatically
examine them and display a list of all the functions and classes in those files
in a tree view on the left hand side of the editor. This view can be
hidden/shown
with a keypress for those times when you wish to use the full width of your
screen.
i'd really like to see this in notepad++ :-)
