nice job again, short delay :)
It would be nice to have the choice of the ftp directory in configuration
connexion.
And maybe have an explorer view than a tree view (or to have the both it will
be better in 2 windows with a up-parent button)

nice job, all the best!

Firstly, I'd like to say that NP++ is an excellent product!

I've found that the "Keep non existing file dialog" behavior is not correct
and a bit annoying. And I think some small changes would greatly improve this.

When an open file no longer exists, NP++ asks whether the file should be left
open in the editor. It doesn't remember your response, so each time you switch
back to NP++ it asks again. It's quite common for that to happen, because
temporary files are often opened and then deleted immediately.

You can't turn off this functionality through options. If you turn off the
status update check, you also lose the notification when files are changed
(which
is very important).

I'd like to suggest a couple of solutions for consideration:

 1. Add an additional option/preference to switch off the "non existing file"
test.

 2. Make NP++ remember the answer to your question. So you only get asked
once.

It would probably be good to have both of these implemented ... but either one
of these would make a big difference.

Regards,
Matt

This is a very generous offer. My sentiments exactly (about 20 times). If I
were the developer(s) and I cried about not having enough time to do this I
would jump at this offer. But, I have a feeling no one will respond to this
offer. And, if my assumption is correct, no one will want you to do this simple
implementation. I hope I am wrong. Your post was very eloquent. May I point
out one thing? If I am correct, I think all other programs add the extension
AND filter the files to show only those of the extension type. I know some of
them do.

Bob

If you're asking how to make the date precede the time, I think you'd need to
change the source code for the TextFX plugin.

If you're asking how to set the format for the date to yyyy-mm-dd and the format
for the time to hh:mm:ss, then use Control Panel: Regional and Language Options:
Regional Options: Customize: Time (or Date).

Regards.
Greg

hi, i am writing a devicedriver and we found this phenomen in notepad++: when
we found an illegal expression in the current text we cancel the
write-operation.
notepad.exe pop ups a messagebox with "access denied". notepad++ says nothing
and deletes the contents of the file!

sincerly
