Oh I see, so it's for people who can't be bothered to use the Styler
Configurator
dialog :-)
I'm not a fan of Comic Sans and Comments in green, for instance, but you
provided
the dialog because we all have different tastes, so I can't understand why
people
don't use it for heavens sake!
I either use Verdana or a mono-spaced Dina font depending on the file type
and/or
text block.

Another problem...

Well, I'm now using that files.
But I'm not still able to find "NPPM_DOOPEN".
Where can I find it? Did it change name?

I think you need WM_DOOPEN, afaik NPPM_DOOPEN does not exist. I use the common
folder aswell so I'm pretty sure thats it.

Released a new package for those interested (0.9.1.2). You can now fill in the
password on connect, and passwords are hidden, along with some other minor
bugfixes.
Also, a FTP_synchronize forum exists in the npp-plugins project on SourceForge.
If you have a new issue or something else to tell you can use that forum too,
to avoid clutter here.

Hi All,
I'm looking to compare multipule files for common elements. I'd would like to
use this to write regex's for email spam identification. Not sure if there is
already a plugin that can do this?
Thanks alot.

I'm a bit confused...
My question is: how do I tell to NP++ "please, open this file"?
NPPM_DOOPEN is mentioned in the "Plugins howto" page, but is not defined, and
so causes an error (obviously).
I tried (trYed?) with WM_DOOPEN, and it causes the same error too, because is
not defined. In which file do you have it defined?
BTW it seems to be "remembered" by Google's cache in the "Plugins howto" page.
Was it an older name?!?
I tried with NPPM_RELOADFILE and NPPM_SWITCHTOFILE, but they don't work unless
the file I want to open is already open (and it isn't, generally).
I tried so:
{
char xx[MAX_PATH];
GetModuleFileName(0, xx, MAX_PATH);
_execl(xx, xx, FileName);
}
but it causes an arror of "pure virtual function call" by NP++
Any suggestions? Where do I mistake?

EDIT: _execl wants a null argument at the end... but it is the same :(

Re-edit:
It works so:
{
char xx[MAX_PATH];
GetModuleFileName(0, xx, MAX_PATH);
_spawnl(_P_NOWAIT, xx, xx, filename, 0);
}
But it looks so strange.
I'm sure that there is a better way: there are NPPM_messages to do a lot of
"advanced things"... there should be also one for a so simple task as "open
a file", shouldn't it?

If I check "Enable global bold font style" with the Bold option itself
unchecked,
the font seems to move down one pixel.
This does not happen with the Bold option checked.
With the Italic option checked, checking the "Enable global italic font style"
also moves the font down one pixel and seems to increase the line space by one
pixel.
If I check "Enable global font size" the line space/height seems to decrease
by two pixels.
Instead of the Global override Style, I would rather have an option for each
additional style to use the Default Style value.
That way I can choose for which styles or attributes I do want to use the
current
global overrides.
If I do not want to use a global override (of want to override the global style)
for (only) a single style setting, it is not possible with the current
implementation.
For the White space symbol style, for instance, the font style features can't
be checked.
It could be very welcome, though, to be able to uncheck the Underline feature,
if this is set for the Default Style.
There is a "global override" now for font style options, but I can't switch
them off for the White space symbol.
If I want all text to be underlined, I can check the Global override, but this
means the White space symbol also gets underlined.

Code snippet of mine:
char * fileNameA = new char[MAX_PATH];
//do stuff with filename
SendMessage(nppData._nppHandle,WM_DOOPEN,0,(LPARAM)fileNameA);
WM_DOOPEN is for me defined as
#define WM_DOOPEN (SCINTILLA_USER + 8)
which needs
#define SCINTILLA_USER (WM_USER + 2000)
WM_USER is in windows.h

Thanks. I'm wondering, is there also a way to delete duplicate lines without
having to be specific about which text should be searched for duplicates of?
I want to keep the first line of anything with duplicates, then delete all the
duplicate lines without specifying any specific text to search for. Hard,
maybe...

Thanks to all you assholes who replied, I figured it out myself.
I modified scintilla source code i.e. lexhtml.cxx recompiled it using mingw
then placed the newly created .dll file on my notepad directory.
Great forum.
