I'm using the zip version of notepad++ 4.3 and have the following bug to
report:
There's a crash when file status auto-detection 'update silently' is used and
the active (focused) document is moved / renamed.
To reproduce:
extract notepad++ zip and run notepad++.
In Preferences -> MISC check status auto-detection 'update silently'.
Open a text document.
Rename the document and place focus back in notepad++.
The message 'file x doesn't exist any more. Keep in editor?' pops up. Choose
No.
Notepad++ crashes.
I believe this crash occurred in versions earlier than 4.3 too.
Thanks to the developer(s) for otherwise great software and the nifty
AutoComplete
in 4.3!
Thanks
Rob

Thank you. I helps me.
But, I think this should be configurable from the setting dialog.

... with a token next to them?
Surely I'm overlooking some menu that will let me do this?
Thanks for the great app!

Hi all,
Strange problem with the last two versions of N++ (I just downloaded and
installed
4.3 over 4.2.2)
Anytime I hit Ctrl-o or File->Open, N++ crashes.

For context-menu under 64bits explorer, you need 64bits libs for context menu
implantation

I often encounter this problem.
I don't know if it happens every time.
Unlocker says that notepad++ locks the directory (or the file).
I'll try with v1.3 and with or without plugins when I came back from Paris.
("came", "come" ? I don't know, after all I'm french !)

Hi folk,
just a brief intro - I'm a newbie Windows programmer, although for whatever
it's worth ( possibly not alot ! ) I have 20 years experience crossdeveloping
C/C++ for embedded systems. I thought I'd take a look at Notepad++, since I
enjoy using it and have some ideas I'd like to try out.
I'm trying to use Visual C++ 2005 Express SP1 ( which also refers to itself
as Visual Studio 8 ), together with the Platform SDK ( 2003 R2 ), to build
Notepad++.
I can compile PowerEditor and Scintilla, but linking is failing.
Rather than dump all 800+ unresolved externals here, I'll just reproduce a
couple
of examples, the first from Scintilla and the second from PowerEditor :
1>PlatWin.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol [EMAIL PROTECTED]
referenced in function "public: void __thiscall Palette::Allocate(class Window
&)" ([EMAIL PROTECTED]@@QAEXAAVWindow@@@Z)
2>AboutDlg.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol [EMAIL PROTECTED]
referenced in function "protected: virtual int __stdcall
AboutDlg::run_dlgProc(unsigned int,unsigned int,long)"
([EMAIL PROTECTED]@@[EMAIL PROTECTED])
Clearly, I'm missing something fundamental here. Would any kind person like
to give me a hint ?:). I did notice that the Scintilla build didn't appear to
have built the GTK files, but certainly most of the unresolved stuff does not
correspond to GTK symbols, it looks more like primitive Windows stuff.
Cheers,
Mark de Roussier

Is it possible to have multi-line tabs - so you can see all open documents at
once, not having to scroll through?
Thanks!

I also commented on this a while back... if i knew how to program fro NPP I
would try and make one myself. After all, Don has a lot of work to do. If anyone
reading this thinks they can make an automatic update feature, please talk to
Don and try to get it done :)
Thanks
