That white box it the progress bar. I usually work with XP themes off so I never
get to see that kind of thing. It looks good with normal windows look and feel,
but XP kinda screws it up. I cant turn it off because that owuld break the whole
theme in Notepad++, but its a cosmetic glitch so isnt very bad.

And microsoft is indeed having problems lately, sometimes I can connect and
sometimes not. Currently I can, and I believe they changed some messages so
probably a new server or sometihng.

Progress bar - didn't think of that. I've never seen anything appear in these
progress bars on both systems.

Any way, another problem. When I select "On connect, subtree root folder" am
I supposed to see my subfolders in root / folder automatically? - 'cos I don't
:-(

Sorry

Mark B

"Although not part of the standard, many Windows programs (including Windows
Notepad) use the byte sequence EF BB BF at the beginning of a file to indicate
that the file is encoded using UTF-8. This is the Byte Order Mark U+FEFF encoded
in UTF-8, which appears as the ISO-8859-1 characters "???" in most text editors
and web browsers not prepared to handle UTF-8."

I have started with such a pluggin, but I'm overloaded with other stuff for
the moment which makes that there is no real progress. but you can look into
Uncrustify Code Beautifier on sf.

Progress bar only really works when downloading larger files over slower
connection,
else its just so fast you dont see it :)

The subtree feature is a misunderstood one, I got a similar reply in the
FTP_Synchronize forums. Its going to be added in. Currently the option works,
it jsut doesnt do what msot user expect it to do (and I jsut misunderstood al
the requests about it).

I released 0.9.3.1 which fixes issues with file operations like rename and
delete.
They simply didnt work.

Atleast theres progress again.

I would like to see this implimented as well. You have no idea how many times
I would love to be able to SET the default extension and filetype in options,
but alas, I cant. I even select NORMAL TEXT FILE from the drop down list and
no .txt is added. I pray that the developer adds this to Notepad++. It is much
needed.

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to turn off the blackline that is used to indicate a collapsed
code segment? I looked in the preferences but could not find it. Its not a
big issue, but I do find it somewhat distracting. . .

Ok you are rigth... but if you have a root directory and several branches if
you select i.e a function call in a file and the identifier is on a different
branch, then notepad tries to open that file from a wrong path. Is this a
mistake
?

Regards

Mauro

... I've just give a look to the ctags file and I've seen that the information
where the identifier is located contains only a relative path; maybe could be
enough tell to the exuberant program to store the complete path !!

regards
Mauro

It's not a bug but a behaviour issue.

It's because system locks the directory due to the SteCurrentDirectory()
function
call in Notepad++.

There're 2 modes for setting the current directory in Notepad++, which change
the behaviour of open/save file dialog (an option in the Preference dialog):
1. Remember the last operation directory (so the current directory is set on
the last open/save directory).
2. The current directory follows the current document (so if you switch to
another
document, the current document will be set on the directory where the current
document is located).

If you set the behaviour in question in mode 1, when you close the current file,
then try to delete the directory where the closed file located, it will fail
(since the directory is always set as current directory). To remedy your
problem,
set this behaviour in mode 2.
