Hi

sorry if this has been discussed before.

I am trying to replace some xml stuff and would like to do something like this:

<[A-z]/>|<([A-z]+)>[.|\n]*</[A-z]+>

which should match closed xml tabs (i.e. <stuff/>)
as well as (emtpy or not) normal xml tabs (i.e. <stuff> XXX </stuff>)

my main question is if the "|" operator which should allow alternatives in the
regex expression is supported by notepad++

I want to remap the next document/prev document shortcuts (from
ctrl+tab/shift+tab
to alt+right/alt+left). This is easily done in the shortcut configurator. These
commands have no name in the list, but remapping works fine.

But when I restart NPP these mappings are reset to thir old defaults.
I assume this has some connection with the missing labels, but I don't
understand
why it should be a problem, seeing as it works fine within a session.

I have confirmed that the problem follows the command overridden, not the
shortcut
I map it to.

I've been having a similar problem lately. I'm using jZip to decompress
archives,
and it seems to have a bug: it gives extracted files strange creation &
modification
dates like March 18, 28899 or May 08, 1622. I've found that NP++ crashes on
opening files with dates such as these.

My solution was to stop using jZip and switch to WinRar, and for any files that
crashed NP++, I just changed their mod and creation dates using Ninotech Date
Edit 4.0

But, I hope that this behavior in NP++ can be rectified.

Sorry if this has been asked before; I tried several searches but found
nothing.

I have NP 4.3. SEveral times when I get back to NP the next day, the program
shortcut on my desktop is gone, and the shortcut pinned to the start menu is
empty (in properties) and doesn't work. The shortcut image is gone.

This didn't happen with the earlier version (I am a new user.) I can make the
shortcuts again and the program works, but this is annoying.

I should add that the shortcuts in the start menu/programs are there and not
affected.

Is there possible to make kinda encoder do decode textmate *.tmTheme file and
n++ stylers.xml file? It would be usefull to use those all themes.
Take one file for example: http://fluidvision.net/downloads/Fluidvision.tmTheme
(size:10kb and clear xml code) Take one styler.xml file to compare: about 70kb
of unintelligible code. There is hard to modify sth from textmate-xml file.
I will be gratefull if someone from n++ would create something that will help
with using textmate-tmtheme files.

-Cheers
Off

Has anyone seen a problem using both // as a comment line and / as an operator?
The operator designation seems to override the comment - so anything with //
looks like an operator, not a comment.

I've got a language where variables start with "$" and want variables to
highlight
in their own color. Is there a way I can do this in a user defined language?

yes, use the prefix mode, and $ as the pre-fix

I'm adding the parameter info. This is what CCompletion executes:
ctags.exe -R --fields=-afiklmsSzt+Kn -f ctags.tmp *
Use a different output filename, so you can compare the two files.

If you run this directly in the project directory and it produces a different
file than CCompletion produced, then I probably have a bug in CCompletion. If
it produces the same file, you may want to contact Ctags team for further
support.

Regards,
Bostjan

I wish I could... just don't have the coding skills like that... just a web
guy. It is a fantastic plugin. Even in its current state, it has helped out
a lot.

Ok, I'm prob gonna get flamed for not actually checking the forum...I
apologize.

Still, I'm wondering if there's a way to add support for another programming
language? Specifically, I'm looking for LaTeX support (I know it's a markup
language and not a programming language, I was just trying to emphasize that
it wasn't a foreign language support issue) - it's not the same thing as TeX
(which is currently supported) and I use LaTeX everyday. It'd be great if it
already existed or if I could somehow write support for it...

Thanks again!

HELP!

I just opened an html page with notepad++ and, HORROR, all my code is now on
the same line and it's now impossible to edit at all...

It's supposed to look like that:
http://www.godrakkargo.com/junk/normal.jpg

But now it's like that
http://www.godrakkargo.com/junk/phoque.jpg

Is there any way to make Notepad++ change line every time there's a closing
bracket ">" ?

Thank you!

Steeve
