I'm new to notepad++, but how would you get a C++ program to run? Do I need
an extra program to do so? Or does notepad++ have something built in that can
compile and run the program?

I had the same problem. I fixed it by adding a DefaultIcon key with value
C:\Program\Notepad++\notepad++.exe,0
in [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42042206-2D85-11D3-8CFF-005004838597}\Old
Icon\Notepad++_file] which was empty.

Now it looks like this
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42042206-2D85-11D3-8CFF-005004838597}\Old
Icon\Notepad++_file\DefaultIcon]
@="C:\\Program\\Notepad++\\notepad++.exe,0"

Comments made by Auggy at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,19026544 were
helpfull.

Is there any way to change the icon for the taskbar?

I'd like it to be more distinctive - gets confused with gray background and
other icons like openoffice text document.

n++ has no build in compiler so you will need an external one

hello

already posted this in function list forum, withou reply surely i will get help
here... ;-)

we use xml to create our program. an we also have functions defined in that
xml:

e.g.:

<FUNCTIONS>
<FUNCTION name="load_file">
...
</FUNCTION>

<FUNCTION name="save_file">
...
</FUNCTION>

</FUNCTIONS>

functions "load_file" and "save_file". and FUNCTIONS is the root tag.
i really tried to teach the function list how to find them... didn't figure
it out.

Can someone help me please?

kind regards
nov_ice

I have been using notepad++ for some time now. I like all the features and its
very fast compared to others. I have recommended it to all my friends and work
mates ;-).

I usually work with multiple files - about 25 -50 files at times. Now with the
default tab bar, the tabs are arranged horizontally. We will have to scroll
to the correct tab. it takes lot of time for me to identify the correct file
/tab from a list. Why cant the tab also grow vertically? some what like the
option provided with Firefox. By this it will be very easy to locate and open
the needed tab very fast.

keep you good work.....

Hello,

Sorry that I didn't see it. What did you tried until now? Can you give me your
current rules?
Which version do you use of FunctionList?

Best Regards
Jens

Hi,

I want to point a bug I had with NotePad++ v4.1.2 under Windows XP.
I've opened a text file with a very long line (82000 chars) and it was
troncated,
only the first 65535 chars where visibles.

Best regards,
JP
