Well, let me point out that I think the message itself is indeed correct.
The file doesn't exist in the util folder.

So the question may only be silly for argument 1.

I think it would be smart behaviour of yours to suspect that N++ only checks
the wrong folder for the file, because, if it would check the right folder,
it would have found the file, as your dir command does.

Don,

I see what you mean.

I've just sent you a modified patch that seems to fix the original bug and the
regression problem you observed.

I confirm that the original bug persists in 4.6 as motte described -- you see
it when you disable the second monitor after closing the NP++ window on that
monitor.

Regards.
Greg

Thank you for the nice plugin, fidvo. Good job.

Sorry for the cross-post. I posted this on the Notepad++ Plugins: SimpleScript
forum, but those fora don't seem to get used much.

I've emailed you a minor modification to make it simpler to write scripts.
Please
let me know if you don't receive it. I hope you'll consider merging it with
the main version.

The modification allows the user to view a hierarchical list of the available
script functions and to double-click a function to insert its template into
the script.

Regards.
Greg

Is this still true if I compare the same document over and over again with other
documents or files, possibly editing it meanwhile?

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

I'm not sure what you are recommending. It sounds like you are recommending
that I should "suspect" something. I suspect everything :-)

I can make it work if I turn off (de-select):

Preferences - MISC - "Remember the current session for next launch"

Regards,
A.

I look forward to seeing it.

I just sent you an alternate email address to send it to, since for some reason
I've been having trouble with my SourceForge email.

If it's anything like it sounds like, I'd love to merge it into the plugin.
I realized as I was testing that I needed a way to help users write scripts.
The documentation is all in the Readme file, which is a text file and therefore
if the users need to look at it they'll most likely open it in Notepad++.
Unfortunately, that means that when the script window is open, they can't scroll
through the documentation.

I'll look it over and if I like it I'll add it to the 1.1 version (the 1.0 will
just be bug fixes). Of course I'll give you full credit in the source
and Readme.

Turning off or deselecting what is called a checkbox is also called unchecking
it.

Thank you for your response as well. If this behavior is persistent (it appears
again when checking the option again and vice versa), this may be enough to
know for the developer to solve the problem!
