> Yes, there are a lot of ways to reach your destination while taking more time
than necessary. Why would you do that?

So what was the/your advice here that you must think I inadvertently brushed
off? Sensitive nobody.

You might want to reread or firstread the thread before you post.

What I had to do today was to remove many newlines which were actually in the
middle of lines (lines end with carriage-return + newline). The best way I
know of to do that (in this editor) is to do it with a hex search and replace.
It's too easy. But if there's a slicker way, you can help out. I've also done
search and replaces (in notepad++) across multiple lines and doing it as I
outlined
(temporarily get rid of the end-of-lines) has worked well. If there's a general
purpose slicker way, then put up.

hi Simon,

first of all thanx for effort, I really appreciate. Are you a mShell user or
simply a NPP cotributor? Can I give you credits in mShell forum after 1st
release
of this language definition?

Anyway, I did as described in "User Defined Language files" section in
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/download.php
After that step all I get is autocompletition via ctrl(+shift)+space. So no
syntax highlighting etc.

So I went to http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/UserLanguageDefineSystem-HOW
TO.php , but I really don't understand how to access that User Define Language
dialog, and how can I link it and new userDefineLang.xml addition.

Forgive me if this is an FTP problem, but it only happens with files I've edited
in Notepad++. I'll work on a file in Notepad++ and upload it via FTP. When I
download it again on another computer, all the linebreaks have mysteriously
disappeared, making for one giant block of unreadable code.

Is there a setting I need to be using to prevent this from happening?

Hi friends, I was inspired and impressed by the Delphi IDE Editor someday ago
as I just surfing around the web I visited the page
http://dn.codegear.com/tw/article/34323.

Please visit the above page and watch the demo movie clips which is self

Farsi-script azeri or cyrillic azeri?

Which platform?

Anyway, as long as you are using a good font and your language is enabled you
should have no problem. Make sure that
Format-Encode in UTF-8
is selected

If you still have problems, do this test: Save an azeri file in utf-8 and open
it in Npp. Select
Format-Encode in UTF-8
That should work, otherwise there is a system problem.

Also try the following test utf-8 file:

http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/ucs/examples/UTF-8-demo.txt

It works here, and should work there as well.

Finally, if you are using W98 then Npp may not suopport the old, pre-unicode
encodings.

Best
Idris

I use azeri-latin(MS Windows XP SP2), and all of symbols are shown ok except
3-4 symbols like

ə - ?
ı - ?
ş - ?

I selected Format-Encode as UTF-8 and in Styler-Configurator selected Palatino
Linotype font, which I am sure contains all that symbols. But result is the
same ---- Question marks instead of that 3 symbols.

Thanks, but the same problem still occurs.

After changing Body End to "===", full list still doesn't appear and only
alternate
item appears just like the follwings:

Item1
Item3
Item5

instead of being like this:

Item1
Item2
Item3
Item4
Item5

2) I have tried to change Sub-group 2 Function Begin to "\+\+[ \t]+" and Body
End to "\+\+\+" and restart the notepad ++, but the subgroup still doesn't
appear.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I believe I've discovered a bug, possibly involving wordwrap. What I am
experiencing
is that, when multiple files are open [for simplicities sake in my example will
be 2], going from one TAB to another and then BACK results in the scrollbars
position will not be where I left it. Let me show you what I mean.....

------------------------------
Strange Behavior

In this first picture I have an open file with word wrap on. Notice that the
scrollbar is all the way at the bottom:
http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd3/pathovore/npp_1.jpg

Next, I click the tab adjacent to the one currently selected:
http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd3/pathovore/npp_2.jpg

Finally, I click back to my original file. Notice that the scroll bar has moved
all the way to the top [in larger files, it will scroll up a percent] :
http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd3/pathovore/npp_3.jpg

------------------------------

Note: This behavior is very strange coming from Textpad. It's not relevant
to just being at the end of a document and can occur anywhere. Sometimes it
jumps back to the top of the document, sometimes it jumps back up to the start
of the line. Either way, the position is NOT preserved.

Tested on XP with notepad++ 3.9, 4.2, 4.3, 4.5, and 4.6 . Thank you for your
consideration.

pv
