"I wish the developers would put a "special char" option on the find/replace
boxes just like ultraedit does, for example in the regular find/replace boxes
you can put ^p and that means a line break, its realy handy when you want for
example to several lines of code at once"
If you use the advanced find/replace (control+r) you can use control+m to
represent
newlines in either the find text or the replace text, if regex is turned off.
See http://notepad-plus.wiki.sourceforge.net/FindReplaceNewlineHowTo for more
details. It actually displays it as a newline, so it's probably more intuitive
to use than something like ^p, but because you can't see them it's possible
to make mistakes.

Hmm...
It's MacOSX based on FreeBSD, and there're a lot of GNU portings in it.
However, AFAIK, the graphical render system is not X11 but postscript, so I'm
not sure if there is WINE porting.
Does anyone know better about this issue?
Don

Yeah I found that link and indeed I didnt implement that header. Thats why I
pointed out it might not work ;).
Been busy the whole day trying to get XP x64 to work so development is halted,
it still doesn't work (and linux doesn't recognize my burner so it gets quite
tricky from here, my nLited setup is corrupt).

Hey guys
I wonder if this is the right place for bug reports. I'm using 4.6.
Open Notepad++, open a text file. Then hit the 'New' toolbar to open a new tab.
Type something in this new page. Click on its tab's close button to close it,
Notepad++ will open a dialogue box asking whether you want to save the file
or not. Don't press any buttons on this box, instead switch to some other editor
and change the contents of the text file you loaded in the beginning, and save.
Switch back to Notepad++, it will open a new dialogue box (on top of the one
already open), asking if you want the modified file to be updated. Choose 'Yes',
it subsequently updates the file and switches to it. At this stage we still
have the 'Do you want to save' dialogue box open. Choose 'No'. Notepad++ will
close the text file by mistake.
I think this bug is because When Notepad++ gets a response from the 'Do you
want to save' dialogue box, it assumes that it has to close the active tab.
This assumption is correct most of the times, since you can't change tabs while
the dialogue box is displayed. But if you follow the steps above, this logic
breaks.
Ali

I get a 404 error when I try to download the zip file. It's a server error.
Any ideas?

Hello
I found problem in notepad++ 4.4 and albo latest 4.6. When I choose "Find->Find
in Files->find them all" I got all results fine. If in search results there
is exe or binary file, and when I click in "find hits" before this binary file
it shows ok, but all next hits are displayed but I can't reach them, because
binary or not proper file opens.
ps. Is it possible to add "filter out" to not search in specific directories
like .svn .cvs? I found that there is regular expression check box but this
probably (I didn't find help for it) apply to "find what:"
Regards
Andrew

It's OK to report this here. But it would have been nice if you included
something
of a description in the title of your message.

But I mean this situation: "\x02 ". The SPACE is absolutely needless here
because
last '"' is the end of the string unambiguously. I'm sure that all users will
write just "\x02" and then do not understand why it does not work (personally
I will do it ;)).
Or another example: "\x02\x03\x04" - it does not need any SPACE character, are
you agree with me? So, IMO, the SPACE is required just - and only - in those
cases when you have a letter after your hex number (e.g. "a\x02 b\x03
c\x04\x05").

It seems I know why it happens :-) And it seems you forgot to write that you
have pessed F9 or Alt+F9 in Notepad++. In Notepad++'s main menu, select this:
Plugins -> ConvertExt... and you'll see these two menu items:
+Symbols: eng/user_1 F9
+Symbols: eng/user_2 Alt+F9
By default, F9 lets you type cyrillic characters in accordance with russian
keyboard layout, and Alt+F9 - with ukrainian keyboard layout. You can find these
symbols inside "ConvertExt.lng" file in your Notepad++'s folder.
If you don't need the functionality of this plugin, you can simply remove
ConvertExt.dll from your Notepad++'s plugins subfolder.

Your plugin is super, i use it often.
1 thing i mention, when using MCP it creates in ech folder you work a mcp.txt
file.
Can you mcp.txt file create in i.e. Notepad++ directory, so in one same folder

Thank you for your great work.
