That depends... Which two words do you want to swap? Where is your cursor
positioned?

"I found that the copy of config.xml in the /Program Files directory was 5k,
but the one in the Applications folder was 0k. I copied the good one over the
0k, and now it works."
Yep, that worked for me.

If you are using a windows server be sure to use back slashes on both remote
and local paths.

c:\web\ c:\web\

If you are using a linux server, use slashes on remote and backslashes
on local.

/var/www/ c:\web\

If you have problems I can try to send you an update.

You may take it for granted that Notepad++ does a very good job of displaying
PHP. I don't really understand your question, however, and so cannot make any
kind of constructive suggestion to help you achieve whatever it is you seek.
However, I believe that you may come to know what it is you seek if you learn
more about what HTML and PHP are and how they work. To that end, I officially
refer you to http://www.w3schools.com Best of luck!

I can't believe it! Right before I click the submit button (and posting the
same exact idea) I scrolled up and saw your post!

I totally agree. Anybody has any thoughts on this?

Just use Windows or an emulator. It's easier than repeatedly bugging us with
the same question and us having to give the same answer over and over again.

Hi Jzar,

Many thanks for you reply to my queries.

I am sorry to learnt that you don't really understand my question and would
like to eleborate it as follow :

First of all,I don't have any knowledge of html and php code.I had a free
wedsite
from a company which I signed up an internet course with them. However, the opt-in
form on my site didn't collect data from those peoples who entered their name
and email address ....to my webmail account.I believed the data go to the
company. Therefore,I need to insert html code ( my email address ) into my
homepage
in onder to collect those opt-in data.

Please advice the following :

1 ) How come my homepage is in html code when I view it from IE7 ( View follow
by source ),
whereas,it is in php code in my web server ?

2 ) I need to view it in html code ( not php code )to insert html ( my email
address )into my homepage, with notepad++,what should I do in order to view my
homepage ( index.php )in html code ? I had just started to learn html code, but
not php.

3 ) My homepage is in php code ( index.php ),before I download it from my
webserver
for the insertion of html code, should I need to copy and saved it ( index.php
) to index.html or other file extention in order to view it in html code in
notepad++ ?

I am open to all the advice and suggestion from you and anyone in this forum
and look forward to hear from all of you soon.

Please review my website at www.moneymakeyourich.com

Thank you.

Best regards
Manicui

Source code is always designed for a monospace font, with very few exceptions.
Just look at anything that has comments inside "blocks" of ASCII characters.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comment_(computer_programming)#Styles

You think this is just me who uses your program for coding? Look at the
comments
about the program by people who try to use it:

"Okay, I just found something I don't like about Notepad++; it fucks with your
comment spacing.

When using multiline comments (/* */), your comments (in PHP anyway), don't
keep the same font-size/spacing as the rest of your code. Thus, if you try to
write your comments to look right on the majority of text editors, it will look
fucked in notepad++. If you write your comments to look good on your notepad++
settings, it will look fucked in regular editors.

--Edit--
Never mind. It's because somebody had set my comment font to Comic Sans MS
(which
I had changed it from before), and I just didn't notice. Back to monospace
fonts."

"I've used Notepad++ for a while, I really disliked the fact that every new
install my settings XML file would get overwritten, and what does that guy have
with Comic sans MS? Every default style is hard coded into the app, to that
strange oddly looking style for comments etc."

"There's only one bad thing about Notepad++ and it is the Comic Sans Serif font
for comments." -

everything.
I dislike reading code comments (or anything) in Comic Sans."

"I'll put a vote in for Notepadd++, just started using it last week after seeing
it recommended here and am pretty pleased. though I must say, what's up with
the comments in comic sans by default?" -

"Por qu? Comic Sans MS en los comentarios del Notepad++?? ehh?? ehh??"

"Notepad++ also earns a special bonus fail by using Comic Sans MS as the default
font for comments. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be drug out into
the street and shot." - http://wonko.com/article/536

"I used it a bit, opened some C# code, some Fortran and its pretty cool - I've
added it the "Open-With" for a few file types. I'm trying to be helpful here...
let me think... I don't like the use of Comic Sans, and I think it would impress
people if you used the Consolas font where available." -
http://www.neowin.net/index.php?act=view&id=40279

"When I have to use a text-editor, Notepad++ is my one of choice. It's interface
is very dated, and the default font and colours are disgusting. It uses Comic
Sans for christs sake!" - http://www.ejecutive.co.uk/2006/08

This isn't about Comic Sans being an ugly font (although it is); it's about
the default font for comments being in a different, proportional font at a
different
font size than the rest of the code.

> And Notepad++ is fully configurable to meet your needs.

This is not at all easy to figure out. I shouldn't have to edit configuration
files (which will be overwritten every time I upgrade anyway) just to make the
program behave correctly. There are very few users who want this to be the
default. Why do you force them to muck around with configuration every time
they install?
