I'm using the GUP (auto-updater) program made by DonHo (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gup-w32/) and placed this into a folder called "updater" in the NPP directory. I have to do this as I'm not using the install for NPP. Each time I try to do an update or NPP starts, I get the error "Could not resolve proxy: []; Host not found." Where the "[]" appears to be a ASCII null square character. I've made sure my "gupoptions.xml" files is set to the correct proxy along with the port number. It's in the following format: <GUPOptions> <Proxy> <server>xxxxxx.xx.xxxxx.xxx</server> <port>xxxx</port> </Proxy> </GUPOptions> Why does NPP give this proxy error? Anything I need to check or setup differently? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Please! That is the first thing I noted, as a PHP developer. Notepad++ is a great product, and I like a lot the automatic indenting it offers, that was what made me use it (although the automatic indenting is really thought for C code, it works fine [not perfect] with PHP). I am thinking of writing a plugin that select the "$" when I double-click, but it may be kind of difficult, as I know very little C++... so if someone has it, or is willing to do it : ) it would be reaaaally nice. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Although it would be nice for comments to default to a monospaced font, it is completely up to the developer. Donho provides an excellent text editor at no charge to anyone. Is it really that big of an issue to spend the 10 seconds it takes to change the comment font? If you don't like it, go find a different editor. Thank you, donho, for an excellent editor. It is by far my favorite. I only wish someone would develop a plugin that enabled the auto-completion feature to work with user-defined classes and functions. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Two things always stopped me switching to it as my main editor both of which are found in PSPad. The first was FTP which you have added now and is better than PSPad's from the quick go I have had. The only thing it needs now is better code completion. I type ech (in PHP) then press Ctrl + Space it just puts echo. In PSPad Ctrl + J would put echo() whilst Ctrl_Space would actually put echo(string arg1, [string argn...]). The code completion with parameters has come in useful many times in the past and I would love to see it implemented into Notepad++. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I apologize for the inconvenience, and hope there's no more regression in v4.7.2 : https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=95717&package_id=102072 However, no one is perfect (even me :D), so there could be (I hope not) still some critical bugs. Use this version (in which the native language doesn't show for menu item is fixed) and let me know if there're still some annoying regressions.
