The scrollbar works normal as in any other program I have. I works on a short as well a long line. As I indicated to the post about the CRTL-F find problem, I have always installed the zipped download of NotePad++. Also, to a root directory named NotePad++. BTW, on an XP Home mechine. ??? I can also confirm that when this error appears the "\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Notepad++\config.xml" is of size zero and that closing NP++, deleting the config.xml file, and opening NP++ again regenerates the config.xml file INCLUDING my opened file history list. I'd say Ben's code suggestion would probably do the trick - and if somebody wants to do a build with it, I'm game to test it out since I have a repeatable failure scenario available to me. If I understand you correctly, I have thought about doing that. Just creating a basic template to start with, saving it on my hard drive somewhere and every time I get ready to start a new website, go to File >> New and open that template. It's easily done, just more steps. I wanted to check and see if Notepad++ had the built in functionality to specify a template that was opened by default as soon as you click "new." Thanks. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I have downloaded the latest version of NP++ on two different machines (twice on one due to an error) and still have this problem. When writing a html document, any css inside of a style tag is not highlighted. Javascript inside of a script tag works fine but all the css is shown in bold with no highlighting. If I change the language of the document to CSS, it highlights just fine so I know there isn't a problem there. Does anyone know of a fix to get NP++ to recognize css inside of a style tag? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. It should read [A-Z0-9]. Anything in between [] are allowable characters except for special characters that mean something like -, putting a comma in there means that it will search for a comma along with the rest of the characters. So for [0,1,5,6] it would be just [0156]. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. One of them is [0]. I am guessing you want a 0 to match here but it doesn't have to be in []. [] are a way of saying match any one character that appears in this list. So what you are saying is match any one character that is a 0, which can be done by just putting a 0 there. Oh and the + and * mean 1 or more and 0 or more, respectively. So for example [abc]+ would match a, aa, ab, bacab, etc. as it will continue as long as there is either an a, b, or c as the next character. So for your regex, I would change: [A-Z,0-9]{7}[0-9][0,1,5,6][0-9]([0][1-9]|[1-5][0-9]|[3][0,1])[0-9][A-Z,0-9]{3}[A -Z]{3} to [A-Z0-9]{7}[0-9][0156][0-9]((0[1-9])|([1-5][0-9])|(3[01]))[0-9][A-Z0-9]{3}[A-Z]{ 3} I have added extra () around certain expressions to help out the or token |. I am not sure if you mean 0[1-9] or [1-5][0-9] or if you meant 0([1-9] or [1-5][0-9]) but I am assuming if was the first one so the parenthesis should help that out. If you use back-referencing, however, and don't want these extra parenthesis to be captured, use ?: as the first part inside the parentheses. So your regex would then be: [A-Z0-9]{7}[0-9][0156][0-9]((?:0[1-9])|(?:[1-5][0-9])|(?:3[01]))[0-9][A-Z0-9]{3} [A-Z]{3} Now I am not a regex expert so if anything of this is wrong, I am sorry, however I do strongly believe this is all proper and legal regex. If NP++ doesn't recognize this then I would say there is a bug in it, or it doesn't support all of regex's features. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
