Ok TodWulff, you managed to shame me into donating ;o) I have to say that
NotePad++
may not be a perfect app, but it is FREE and QUITE USEFUL - I use it nearly
every day. I have to say that I really appreciate Don's work and hope
he continues.

I'm curious, what was the installer bug? I had a problem with the install
freezing
on the stylers.model.xml file on 2 computers back in version 4.7.3 (I posted
about it). I used the zip package for 4.7.4. I tried the installer again for
this version, and it works! So, what was the bug / what was changed?

Well if he "NEEDS" a new icon? Can't he just change it himself? You can change
the icon of windows shortcuts you know... And besides, how are we supposed to
know what sort of application hes allowed to use?
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not against changing the icon, I just dont see
how its a vital thing when other cooler stuff could be worked on.

Problem solved:
File was saved using UTF-8 with BOM. Saving as UTF-8 without BOM works
as expected.

When loading a file of 244 Mbytes it crashes with DrWatson and so on!
This BUG is present already from many releases, at least from the
PortableVersion
one!!!
I'm running on a 1Gbyte RAM notebook + 1Gbyte virtual.
