A bug is where an application is not functioning in its intended manner. From
everything I've read, it is not the intent of the application to default to
a particular file type. I, for example, don't create only text files, therefore
I appreciate N++ not deciding what file type I want to save as. Regardless...
Solutions:
1. Type ".txt" after the file name. Or any other extension, for that matter.
2. Alter the source code to have the Save functionality suit your individual
needs.

Thanks to Jens Lorenz's contribution, here is MultiClipboard 1.4

- Settings are (finally!) saved to file, and restored upon loading of Notepad++
- Introduced an option to cycle through clipboard items via successive
Ctrl+Shift+V,
instead of displaying clipboard menu
- Hosted on Npp plugins on sourceforge now
I flagged it as beta now because I had a crash, which I was unable to repro
anymore. This either means I need your help to hunt it down, or it is stable
enough :-)

Macro -> Start recording

Macro -> Stop recording

I'm satisfied about new save as dialog behaviour, so I won't change it.
However, since it's open source project, you can always modify the source to
make the binary you need.
Therefore it's not necessary to do the multi-post for the same issue.

When I tried to update from a previous version of Notepad plus the install hangs
at:
Extract: C:\DOCUME~1\Sfink\LOCALS~1\Temp\xmlUpdater.exe... 100%
Output folder: C:\Program Files\Notepad++
Create folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Sfink\Application
Data\Notepad++\plugins\config
Output folder: C:\DOCUME~1\Sfink\LOCALS~1\Temp
Extract: langsModel.xml... 100%
Extract: configModel.xml... 100%
Extract: stylesLexerModel.xml... 100%
Extract: stylesGlobalModel.xml... 100%
Extract: langs.model.xml... 100%
Extract: config.model.xml... 100%
Extract: stylers.model.xml... 100%
I uninstalled the application entirely and even now trying to install full
version
from scratch the install hangs at the same spot in the install. Thanks for
any help you are able to provide.

On the screen, the Indent Guidlines show up fine.
However, when printing, they "disappear" -- i.e., they don't print, even in
WYSIWYG mode.
Is there a way to print the vertical lines (the Indent Guidelines) that show
the matching opening/closing braces of a block (if/for/while/etc) ??

Click Settings > Styles Configurator...
There you can edit the colors.
Which came from another forum post on the same page as yours.

My PC: winxp sp2, NP++v4.7.5, Exp v1.6.2
no problem except slow at startup of software.it will spent about 3~4s to show
the files in the explorer plane. but i just start NP++ one time everyday and
then let it run untill i leave my office. BTW, thanks your NP++.^_^.
