There is a plugin that can return rgb color values in HTML, hex, and decimal.
Most languages can use one or more of these forms. If you are using 16-color
ascii values I think that storing clip-text snippets would be more convenient.

Hi,

I'm a ruby on Rails programmer, and I deal with files of html mixed with ruby(
rather like php).

Although php is supported by notepadd++ other mixes are not. It would be great
if notepadd++ could be configured to accept user-defined mixes of language.

There has been a feature request for the ruby/html mix for almost two years,
and it is still open. I also posted this idea a few weeks ago without a
response.

User-defined mixes would be a powerful feaure and a generic solution to
my problems.

Thanks

Greg

A great plugin!
This version 1.10 is even better!

Would it be possible to have a feature to confirm step by step html ascii
letters
replacement?
(replace all is also a good feature)

It would also be nice to have a list with all ascii codes to click on it to
insert a code during typing.

Thank again!

Java key work support is pretty close, but it would probably be quoth to have
a separate language definition. If anyone wants to adapt, I found one in a
different
format that has already identified the key words & extensions.

Yet another request for this feature.
That is how I found this forum.
I really wish there was a definitive place for this issue to be addressed,
without
having to search a whole forum with vaguely worded searches and even vaguer
results.

If you mean matching the pair tags then HTML Tag plugin works for that, altough
it could be improved, it would be really nice if it could match html tags like
braces (mark the matched tags with custom color).

Are there any plans for a VI/VIM plugin with Notepad++?

Try un-checking "Settings > Preferences > MISC > Enable Notepad++
auto-updater".

Hello Jens,

I'm having the same problem with Function List in both version 1.2 and 2.0a.
With older version of Notepad++ when you defined a user language you had the
language name appear in User Rules and the rules created actually worked with
the proper user language. However with 4.7.5 (maybe earlier, I don't know),
even if you have user languages defined you simply get a single "User Language"
definition in User Rules while the name of the User Languages created no longer
appear (only blank lines). Also, rules previously written still work, but you
can't see them anymore, nor you can edit or add new even by selecting one of
the blank lines that show up under the general "User Language". Blank lines
match the number or user languages defined in my system.

Thanks, and best regards.
Ivan

Can you please explain how to insert bytes in the Hex-Editor? I can only see
how to replace existing bytes.
