Hi,
The problem comes from the auto-update option.
If turned on, NPP v4.7.5 uses CreateProcess API to launch GUP.EXE which requires
elevation.

When I block some code in my VBScript file and right click and choose "Block
comment/uncomment", it uses REM as the comment. This of course is the comment
for a .bat file and not for a .vbs file. It should be the single quote mark
(') instead.
I could not find anywhere in the menus where that could be changed.
I'm also looking for where to indent a block of text in and out. I can't seem
to find it anywhere.

Hi,
Have you seen all the options of N++ bcoz i dont think so. N++ already has a
backup option. You have to enable it
in Settings->preferences->backup/auto-completion. No external scripts required.

I wanna use Notepad++ as the simplest style like the original notepad with no
tab bar and no icon bar. I can remove the icon bar in the preference. How to

Hi.
I tried to get 2 available stylers to work with my npp 4.7 and no matter what
I do I can't get them to work.
Any ideas anyone?
I copied styler.xml to the app folder. Restarted notepad. Disabled global sty;e.
Can't think of anything else.
Anyone can think of anything?

If I block comment some lines of text and a section is already commented then
I lose the comment for this section. Quite frustrating.
Is there some way to comment text without losing the comment code that is
already
