What kind of newlines does the file use? Try View/Show End Of Line so you can
see them. I think Notepad requires lines to end in CR LF, not just CR or LF.
If it's using one of those, try Format/Convert To Windows Format.

Strange that it's ok for you- no way it's going to get fixed if it can't be
duplicated. So you have two freshly opened tabs in multi-view, and you select
some text in one and drag it to the other, then save the file you dragged it
to, and the text gets saved ok?
It consistently stuffs up for me, but I'm running an older version. Could the
original poster please confirm that they still have the problem and that the
steps above are what's required to duplicate it?

Steps to reproduce problem
(Windows XP+, NTFS)
1. Create a folder named "??????????"
2. Open the folder in Windows Explorer.
3. Create a new text file using notepad inside the folder.
4. The text file is not readable by Notepad++

I would like to see this as well,
I like to compare the new file with the old one and the Doc-Updater would
prevent
this,
or if it was a manual button, I could see the old press it and see the current
file.

Thanks alot for the plugin. I'm loving it.
There's but one gripe for me (and it's a relatively minor one at that).
When I?m working on a project, I have a predefined structure on my hard-disk.
Setting the profile cache solves the problem I had before by saving in a
specified
directory (project name). All fine and dandy so far.
The 'problem' I have is that if the server path is convoluted (i.e the 'initial
directory' is filled to hold something like 'web/usr/h/hamburg/wwwroot') FTPSync
uses the path relative to the server, instead of relative to the settings, which
is rather cumbersome, because when a project is finished, I have to move all
the files, and I can't just turn it over to my colleagues because they
use Dreamweaver *shudder*.
But, as I said before. It's an inconvenience.
Kudos on the plugin.

Just use the Compare Plug-In and don't ask for options that may be confusing
to other users.

I was wondering if there is a Plugin that is in developement to show the syntax
highlighting in mIRC scripting. My friends and I use Notepad++ and wouldn't
mind seeing a mIRC syntax plugin. Thanks, Dustin

Well, yes. ShellExecute() requres more "tender" handling than WinExec() ;-)
Now I have to separate the argument of NPP_RUN manually - because ShellExecute()
expects an executable name ("notepad.exe") and its parameters
("$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)") as two different arguments.
Will be done in RC3.2 (I think).
Meantime you can use just
npp_run "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"
It will open the current file in its associated program.

the advanced find replace (CTRL+R) is not available from the main menu. Only
with the keyboard shortcut
