The only thing I found was removing duplicates. This will work for me for now since I would eventually combine linst A and list B, its just that I would have to do more work for the combining process than if I could just subtract. For subtracting I haven't tried but you could try ordering your list in notepad ++ (not sorting with only unique) and saving the files and comareing them in winmerge. That would show you the differences in the file. From there you could select orphans of either file and copy them to a thrid file. I haven't tested that but I don't know why it wouldn't work, its more complicated than one action but at least its done with all free tools. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. The standard shortcut for Paste (Shift+Ins) doesn't work for me (pasting by mouse does work though). Notepad++ v4.75 works flawless to that regard. Tested on WinXP Pro SP2 (all updates). ______________ Best regards, deus-ex ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I enjoyed it since v3.9. I'm writing you regarding a glitch for windows manager v1.1.1 when I use it with NotePad++ v4.8, I write this to Jens as well. it seems the behaviour of left click and right click is flipped. when I left click the item, it gives me a pop-up menu, and only right click will activate the file. I never see this problem when the _same_ version of windows manager (v1.1.1) working with NPP v4.7.5. can you please investigate it if possible.. thanks, Junjiang ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. As far as I know this works. I use another comparison tool that also allows to show only selected kinds of differences. It's a piece of cake "subtracting" that way. > (not sorting with only unique) Why is that? I would suggest to remove all duplicates in both files beforehand, so you won't be left with a remaining previously double entry in list B because of only one occurrence in list A. If lists have to be ordered in any (other) way or like they originally were, you have to execute the magic line number trick beforehand and afterwards. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Everything works fine. Please test Explorer plugin alone in Notepad++. Maybe the issues is caused by another plugin. I am sure everyone here knows why so I am not going into details. There's 1 little thing that bothers me though. While I switch between coding and XML, I find myself needing very different types of commands -- when I program, I would like folding, marking, refactoring; when I peek at XML files, I like tag matching, current/parent tag selecting, Tidy, XML tools, ETC, ETC, ETC. I am surprised an ultra modern editor with full pack of features such as Notepad ++ would make me sift through menus after menus of pop ups to find the command I want. I am sure I am not alone here. I searched for "toolbar" on the forums, and 33 pages of requests mostly asking for adding/removing/customization of toolbars. Come on, we've come so far. The editor is so close to perfection :) Please feed us with a customizable toolbar!! Please? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Is there a way to override this behavior? Without the background color of a highlighted brace or parenthesis, it can be difficult to pick out which one is actually highlighted. Sometimes, a complex sequence of braces can all appear on one line, and it would be nice to be able to see the highlighted background color without having to turn off highlighting of the current line. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Solution: There are to directories <plugins\config> where you can install to: 1.) %Program Files%\Notepad++\plugins\config OR 2.) %AppData%\Notepad++\plugins\config\ Installing the *.xml and the *.flb under Dir 1.) does not work for me. I copied the files to Dir 2.) - and everything was OK. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
