Then you can tell him/her *cordially* to search the forum, or just don't
answer.

Its planned, somewhere along the lines of 'when its done', like Duke Nuken
forever
;].
Theres currently no plugin that I know of that allows one to connect to a SFTP
server with notepad++.

Hi,
I am trying to use Beyond Compare to compare files in notepad++.
I used NPPExec and in the console I placed the following:
npp_run "C:\Program Files\Beyond Compare 2\BC2.exe" "$(#1)" "$(#2)"
This works great although I am not too clear on the npp_run things since it
works the same whether added or removed.
What I would like to do is be able to specifiy the files i want to compare
rather
than be tied up to the first and second tabs. I know I can modify the tab
numbers
to select the files i want, but it would be rather nice if I get a popup dialog
where I can select the the two files to be used for comparisons.
Is there such a plugin that will allow me to do so? Or is there a workaround
that can be done to avoid this limitation?
Also is it possible to create a RUN MENU command to execute an NPEXEC script?
Thanks in advance.
Charbel

Sounds like you are very familiar with HTML. In that case, you should have no
problem editing the PHP file. The HTML in the document is already formatted
in HTML. Also, Notepad++ highlights all the HTML tags the same if it's a .html
or .php extension. So simply saving the file as either extension will make no
difference.
Edit it as is, just keep your changes to the HTML parts your familiar with.

I believe that a .DOCX file is actually a compressed file containing a number
of files, most of which are simply XML files. Try renaming the file, use your
personal choice of unzipping tool to extract the contents and then use Notepad++
to view/manipulate the XML files with all the support you might expect.

How about an option to insert a BOM (and hope it's the right one) when saving
files? Does that make sense? I haven't had problems with these files yet, but
I suppose there's a first time. Alternately, one should be able to very easily
remove the 0 value characters in the hex plugin.

It would be a great thing if regex did that (among others). Too bad it doesn't
come that way. I wonder how hard it would be to modify regex ....... hmmmmmmmm

Underline works fine Jens normally, just that if you open N++, then double-clcik
on a file in Explorer or Favourites and then close it, the filename remains
underlined. It only happens when all files are closed and none remain, the last
one closed is still underlined.
It's not a real problem, just a cosmetic one I guess.
N++ is 4.8 and happens with any file on any drive.
all the best

Great work fidvo
Could we have a toolbar icon please?
I'd like to see an amodal dialog as well or dock it.
By the way you can delete/replace the text in the "Set" pull down. It still
works but not sure you're supposed to do that.
Thanks of his plug-in.

Thank you, fidvo, for your reply :-) I do hope it works out. I really like
Simple
Script especially but I need it most for utf-8!
And thank you, vor0nwe, as well for your clarifications.
Best wishes
Idris
