I think it can be useful to move "Find What" to the left and increase combo
box width in Find dialog. The find combo is too short and quite short search
text isn't visible as a whole very often

I would be wicked to have an option to hide comments. For example in Apache
conf files there are often more comments than content, which confuses the admin.

The installer ought to keep the Shortcuts if you have any, just like the
settings
and stylers if I'm correct, it should only add new content.

I have the same problem with the last versions only 4.8, 4.8.1
When I type in Arabic it appear also in English but different character map
than normal English..
I think this is bug in 4.8 and above.....
PLEASE NOTEPAD++ I love you do not go away... :)

Sounds like you're pressing F9 at some point which is a shortcut for a special
characters mode in the ConvertExt plugin. Next time it happens try hitting F9
to toggle it off or in the long term remove the shortcut using the shortcut
mapper.
