Last time it was requested, it seemed ignored. I think this is a fairly
important
feature, actually. The lack of it is one of the main things that drive me away
from Notepad++, but seeing no other good alternative, I always come back.

Simply put, here's what I'm looking for:

Open a brace, and a closing brace should appear after the cursor. Press return,
the next line should indent itself, the closing brace should skip to another
line with its indentation removed.

Hi. I upgraded to v4.8.2. I noticed new behavior for the conditions below:

(1) Wrap is turned on
(2) The current line has multiple rows
(3) The carat is on a row other than the first or last row of the current line

In this case, if I hit the Home key, I'm now taken to the beginning of the first
row in the current line. If I press the End key, I'm taken to the end of the
last row in the current line. Previously, I believe if I was on the 2nd row
of a wrapped line (for example), pressing Home would take me to the beginning
of the 2nd row and pressing End would take me to the end of the 2nd row.

Is this change by design? Any way to set the old way as a preference?

Thanks,
Ben

Same thing happens after last update in Turkish Keyboard too.

The character "?" prints like "[US]"
The character "?" prints like "[RS]"
The character "?" prints like "_"
The character "?" prints like "^"
The character "?" prints like "0"

Other special characters in Turkish alphabet shared with other Languages, such
as German characters are normal. (?,? and ?)

Hello there,

Thank you very much for this product, it's excellent!
One thing that is taking some time to get used to, however, is its definition
of "word", when you navigate or select word-by-word (e.g. CTRL+RIGHTARROW, or
CTRL+SHIFT+RIGHTARROW).

For instance, in virtually all Windows-based editors, if I position the caret
at the beginning of a word and then press CTRL+SHIFT+RIGHTARROW, this selects
the whole word _plus_ the trailing punctuation + space (or leading, depending
on how you see it I guess). In Notepad++, instead, the selection stops right
at the end of the word.
This is possibly a scintilla thing, and I presume this is a Unix heritage (I
think emacs also has a similar behaviour) but is this configurable? If not,
can it please be made configurable?

Many thanks.

Hi there.

I am a bit new to n++ but i already love it. However i am a bit tired of a small
problem. In my company we use a german windows environment while some other
software uses english digits. So it happens that 2.45345 != 2,45345 for example.
When i copy the code in to Excel or similar i get the wrongt numbers.

Till now i did everything by hand. Replacing all spaces to tab stops and "."
to ",". But since i use n++ i tried to make a macro. However it seems that the
"Replace" option isn't recogniced by the recorder and i am unable to save and
run the macro. Is there any workaround or something i missed?

Use a regular expression (regex) to do the trick.

Press CTRL+F or CTRL+R to open the (advanced) Find/Replace dialog.

Check the regular expressoin option.

In the Find field, enter:
(\d+)\.(\d)
In the Replace field, enter:
\1,\2

Replace all occurrences, starting from the top of the document or using wrap
mode.

Notice that this will also change any "digits-dot-digits" sequence:
\d______ searches for a digit
+_______ searches for a continous string of the previous match pattern (digits)
()______ groups an expression so it can be referred to in the Replace field
\.______ searches for a literal dot, simply . would match any character

\1______ refers to the first () group, i.e. the integer value of the number
\2______ refers to the second () group, i.e. the decimal part of the number

Perhaps you can figure out how to do something similar for changing spaces into
tab stops.

Correction: the decimal part may also exist of multiple digits.

In the Find field, enter:
(\d+)\.(\d+)

Sounds like some of the include files arent being included. The if the search
path is correct, it should contain every single folder in ./src, even ./src
itself (You can open the visual studio project files as XML and look, it lists
all the directories).
The TCS_VERTICAL I believe is a windows defined constant, plaese check if WINVER
is properly set and _WIN32
