Hello,

Currently when i open certain configuration files it opens with Unix Format
by default. This causes some issues with copy/paste due to Newline Characters.
Is there a way to set up Windows format as my default format to open files?
Please advise.

Thank you,

If the latest version of Notepad++ (4.8.2) is open when I open a PDF file using
Acrobat Pro (7.0.9) causes Acrobat to display a dialog "Reading Untagged
Document":
"This 14 page document is untagged and must be prepared for reading. Whle the
document is being analyzed, your assistive technology will not be able to
interact
with this application" and displays a Start and Cancel buttons.

If Notepad++ is not open, this dialog is NOT displayed. Only when Notepad++
4.8.2 is open, even with a blank document, does this happen.

Thanks,

Would also be nice if always all convert functions for linebreaks in the Format
menu were enabled. If a file is detected as having Windows linebreaks (CRLF)
but contains a few others (only CR or only LF), it takes two steps to correct
that. First you have to convert to another OS, then convert it all back.

Also when Notepad++ is open without any plugins? Temporarily rename the plugins
folder to check this and report here when you find out it is not caused within
Notepad++ itself.

Seems to be w/o any plugins too. Very typical, why would adobe read a file
differently if Notepad++ is open? Its probably in the same alley as adobe 8
not resizing the document when logitech setpoint is installed :).

Would be great if the -l parameter could be used on user-defined languages.
At present the only way I can think of doing this is manually replacing one
of the default languages that you don't use (say, fortran?) with your user
defined
language and then forcing that: -lfortran

If anyone else out there is calling n++ multiple times from a batch file like
I am, this would be a very useful feature.

(btw, thanks n++ people! For a dev working in a strange, archaic BASIC dialect,
user defined languages are a godsend)

The problem is :
the menu items are initialized in "case DLL_PROCESS_ATTACH:" of DllMain.

Even through I did setInfo immediately in plugins manager:

pi->_hLib = ::LoadLibrary(dllNames[i].c_str());
if (!pi->_hLib)
  throw string("Load Library is failed.\nMake \"Runtime Library\" setting of
this project as \"Multi-threaded(/MT)\" may cure this problem.");
pi->_pFuncSetInfo = (PFUNCSETINFO)GetProcAddress(pi->_hLib, "setInfo");

if (!pi->_pFuncSetInfo)
  throw string("Missing \"setInfo\" function");
pi->_pFuncSetInfo(_nppData);

The segment in "case DLL_PROCESS_ATTACH:" will be executed while calling
"LoadLibrary".
So the modification is not really useful, am I wrong?

Don

The thing is I don't see why I should take a risk to change it, if I don't gain
the advantage.

Well, it may help a little. You cant blame anyone if their code isnt setup for
a setinfo-before-getfuncarray if that isnt implemented yet :).
If it imposes risks then maybe its best left alone, it's your call after all
(I shouldn't be in this discussion anyway since I wont make any use of it
anytime
soon, I think).

Hi All,
I am using Notepad++ v4.7.5. I wanted to update to 4.8.2. Whenever I click on
"Update Notepad++" from the menu, I get an error box titled "curl error"
stating:
"Could not resolve host : notepad-plus.sourceforge.net; No data record of
requested
type"

Is there any other way to upgrade?
What will happen if I install v4.8.2 over v4.7.5 ? Do I need to uninstall v4.7.5
before doing so?
Is there a offline Upgrade package that I can use?

Regards,
Vikram
